Any value in some of these 1st round Matchups?? Who do you like for Series Prices?

Does Utah have a decent shot to win against Houston at a good series price?

Only two of the eight first-round series are competitively-priced.

Looks like the NBA has a parity issue.

You would think the "4 versus 5" and "3 versus 6" series should offer more drama and intrigue than what the betting board suggests.

Geez....for 10k I can bet GSW for $200 rather than get it from a Capital One Money Market bonus. Why wait 5 months?

The market likes Utah, the series price has moved significantly on them, personally I like Houston, but I'm not betting it. The price on Indiana has dropped as well, I still think there's value with the Pacers at +400, another big dog with some value is Brooklyn +500, I think they'll give Philly all they could handle. Also, if the Spurs lose game one, I'll look at taking them at an adjusted series price

Every time I see a large favorite I always think of matumbo lying on the floor celebrating after Denver upset I think it was seattle in a first round many years ago. People got buried in that series. LOL.

Rough day for NBA bettors who played the favorites on the money line in Game 1 of the NBA playoffs.

Philadelphia -340 LOSS

Toronto -550 LOSS

Denver -250 LOSS

Only the Golden State Warriors (-1600) survived against the closing numbers at CGT.

Good start yesterday Kane.

Somewhere I heard you talk up both Brooklyn and Orlando, a ML parlay on them yesterday would have been nice.

Props.
Thanks Pat, I really like the way Brooklyn matches up with Philly, the Sixers have the best starting five in the East, but they don't seem to play together, Tobias Harris is their fourth best player and he's better than anyone on Brooklyn, but they don't play together as a team, they have great individual players who don't seem to mesh. I love that Magic team, Steve Clifford is a solid coach who's done a great job with them, they're young and talented and fun to watch, I don't think they can beat the Raptors three more times, but I wouldn't count them out

OKC got a lot of action for the series. It was a little baffling, they looked like a different team 2H of season which had
a lot to do with PG looking disinterested.

After So many lets put on a show and play no defense type games during the regular season the first 8 playoff games go under.
Defensive intensity picks up in the playoffs, there's no way these guys could put forth the same level of intensity during the 82 game schedule, too much of a grind

No Argument at all- I observed a couple of games that were flat out ridiculous.with the complete lack of defense. There was a game between New Orleans and the Lakers that I was watching a little not too long ago where it directly reminded me of the All Star Game mentality with so many uncontested layups and uncontested shots.

2 different guys texted me saying the really like Brooklyn again and one is playing the spread and MLIne .... any opinions do they have a decent shot in your opinion to go in and win both straight up .... Embiid health knee a concern?

Went to bed with the Warriors up 20 something late in 3rd. Shocked to find out they lost outright. I thought they defended poorly in game 1. I have to think whoever comes out of the East has a legit chance.

The Clippers got as high as 100/1 to win last night's game vs. Warriors at FanDuel's sportsbook. @FDSportsbook said it took 14 bets on the Clippers at that price, the largest being $50. LA came back from 31 points down in the third quarter to win and even the series 1-1.
