NBA Playoffs...

Bumping thread to say how fucking annoying Breen and Burke are.

Just in the Q1 of Pacers/Thunder finals, Breen calls "Dallas timeout" and Burke gushing about Pacers superb tempo down 9. Insipid doesn't do this stupidity justice.

'Set Shot Buford' who also goes by Halliburton is going to have a hell of a time getting off shots in this series unless it's in translation.

It finally dawned on these dumbshits that the Pacers were turning the ball over. Breen in wonder that Pacers only down 10.

Yeah, 19 Pacer turnovers in the 1H, duh.

Again, when you only trust one guy in crunch time...how can you be -700 in a series?
This logic makes no sense, every team in the playoffs trusts one guy in crunch time. Who takes the last shot for NY? Bos? Det? Cle? Mil? Min? Etc. They all have one guy who takes the last shot. Who takes the least shot for Indiana? The logic that OKC didn't deserve to be that big a favorite because they have one guy they trust in crunch time makes no sense, every team in the league has one guy who has the ball in crunch time, a few team have two, but 90% of the league has one guy taking the big shots at the end

You can make the case OKC shouldn't have been as a big a favorite as they were, but the fact that they have one guy taking the big shot at the end is wholly irrelevant

Crunch time in the NBA is the last 5 in a close game. Take a look at the play chart tonight and see who scored for Indy versus OKC.

Of course OKC had a great reg season record because few games were close, biggest point differential in history. Their lack of crunch time options was never exposed.

They were pushed versus Denver despite SGA hitting everything late and JWill having a few career games. Tonight they were human, they lost. They're a very good team despite getting away with murder on defense, but far from -700. I said that B4 the series

They shot 40% & were out rebounded by 17!

Which is amazing considering Indy is one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA and in one out of three games a guard usually leads them in rebounding.

Dort was the only guy I noticed early making any effort on the offensive glass.

OKC can say what they want but I think they started reading their own press clippings.

well it might be too early in the series...OKC at home lost the opener to denver by 2.......OKC adjusted series is -330

i did noticed during the season OKC did everything pretty darn good on offense... but their offense did not pass as good as denver who finished 1st and indiana 3rd.......... OKC finished 12th.......ok misleading stats.

denver series went 7...like heim said indiana defense was better than denver during the season and i looked and he was correct...which made indiana a smaller dog than denver.

ok here we are again with game 2 and OKC facing a team that moves the ball pretty good like denver BUT with a better defense.

Fezzik says OKC a 88 percent play on Saturday so naturally anything below his Mendoza line is a ML steal.

Fezzik still living in a 80s probability bubble.

Many were comparing this lopsided series to the 2002 Nets/Lakers.

So who is Shaq...Holmgrem?? lol

Embarrassingly enough that is where I put the series before G1, my projection missed badly........

Indy win saves a little face.

BTW what is the logic in the best team in the league changing their starting line-up before G1 is even begun?

Smells like a scared coach to me. A team with doubts.

NBA had a rule, no more than two max deals on a team. Some now have three or four. I'm not a capologist, but how these teams get around the luxury tax is beyond me.

So much for a competitive balance.

bonuses or deferred payments....possibly ..bankers do it too for taxes....banker ceo at goldman sachs did it this past year ..80 mil

Dort is OKC's most efficient scorer, and that's the problem.

Dead last (efficiency) in the Finals? Naturally the big stiff Holmgren.

Just watching the game last night you could see two even teams. lol at -700.

Again they have to send out a price that will create equal action and don't have syndicates pounding one side.

The poker dipshit on Tik-Tok laid 200k on OKC before the series.

Tried to reply and this post just disappeared.

Anyway, I agree the books are just trying to balance action. They've made a ton already on plays for OKC to win in 4 or 5 games.

The series price is consistent with the game MLs. OKC favored in all the games, by 10 to 11 at home and 5 to 6 at Indy ML -235 for game 4).

Current series price is -235 at Circa and -225 at WH.

I haven't looked at NBA futures for next season, but I'm sure Spurs are getting some action. Durant favored in the markets to go there, moreover rumors a trade is in place.

They have some good young pieces...

People need to understand that Durant now is like Aaron Rodgers

Name value
No actual betting market value
