Delta variant now dominant in at least half the country, and this data is two weeks old at least, so by now it's likely dominant most areas.

The upshot is it may cause more cases, but not many hopsptalizations and almost no deaths, not too shabby.

In the vast majority of these states hospitalizations are either still dropping or stable, which means there will be no delta surge.

The best part of any surge is that the Biden administration will have to do everything they can to keep the economy open since they've been trying to take credit for the recovery.

If Sisolak tries to shut down casinos or limit capacity again, he will have ZERO chance of getting re-elected.

The amusing thing is that people are out there in huge throngs - not just vegas but everywhere, more people flying than in 2019, yet there's a small reservoir of people who are still inside, angry and bitter, LOL.

For sure. It's AC weather in Vegas right now too. We had a massive spike this time of year last year. It's going to be highs of over 100 for the next couple of months.

We had record highs for a week two weeks ago hitting 117 for two days and staying over 110 for about five days.

The fact that there isn't a bigger spike is pretty significant.

Indoor employee mask mandate starting tomorrow. No mandate for customers.

There was a Clark County meeting and a ton of people showed up to speak up against implementing mask mandates again.

Kind of a compromise I guess.
