NFL Week 2 discussion

I also expect a big bounce back for the Lions at home vs Chicago, played -4 early.
It will be interesting to see how Goff plays. No one knows him better than Ben Johnson, his strengths and weaknesses, his tendencies in certain situations

I think 4 1/2 is a bit steep for the Vikings to be laying vs Atlanta. First, a short week for Minnesota off the Monday night game. Atlanta had a nice comeback to take the lead late only to lose late. Atl nearly 100 yard edge vs Tampa; was the Vikings come from behind all them? Or a late collapse by the Bears? I believe a lot of it was a starter depleted defense who wore down in the 4th quarter. Outgained 317 to 254, and the Bears led the game for 42 minutes. HFA only 1 1/2 now. I can't see the Vikings 3 higher on a neutral field.
Agree, I took the Falcons +4.5, I posted it in the BB thread, thought I posted here as well but I forgot. The Vikings locker room after the bears win looked like they won a playoff game. The Falcons are the Anti-Steelers, always win the stats but lose the game. Every week it's something else, a missed kick, a turnover, a penalty, they always seem to pull defeat from the jaws of victory, think they keep this one close and if they don't fuck up the end game might win SU

Between him and Kittle, yes.

I'll play GB if it drops to -3. I also expect a big bounce back for the Lions at home vs Chicago, played -4 early.

I don't have a good read on Detroit. Their O line was so good the past few years. Center retires, another starter leaves via free agency. Then in week 1 another (Jones) is injured and on the IL. Bears are habitually dysfunctional, but they outplayed Minnesota for 3 quarters. If Williams had any accuracy at all, they secure that win.

I wasn’t aware of the Vikings mood following the game, but I said it was the Bears most important game of the season. The “easiest” spot of the 6 divisional games. Getting the Vikings at home, with McCarthy making his first road (and first overall start). And to let it slip away, the Vikings knew they stole one. I also think there had to be a lot of uncertainty about how JJM would respond, and they had to be pleased about that.

The Browns trash talking the Ravens? Are they out of their minds? Derrick Henry: “we will see on Sunday”.

Who are you guys taking in survivor? The obvious choice is Baltimore, I'm thinking of saving them and going with Arizona, not sure there will be too many opportunities to take them down the road, and the Panthers might be really bad.

Atlanta may be a top 10 team. I had them graded as winning week 1, despite the actual loss. Last night was dominating. They beat up the Vikings on the LoS. The Falcons biggest problem the past few years has been lack of pass rush. They actually improved quite a bit in the last 6 games or so last year, but the new draft picks have had a major impact. I've been on the Penix bandwagon since he was at Indiana; plenty of supporting playmakers. They do need to improve in the red zone (only 1 for 5 last night) but they could've easily won by more. How good is Minn? Granted, their D was without 2 of their best players (Van Ginkel and Harrison Smith).

Here's the 2024 QB draft, IMO:

1. Daniels
2. Penix
3. Nix
4. Maye
5. Caleb
6. JJM
7. Rattler
