NFL Week 9 discussion

Tough looking board this week, nothing really jumps out to me. One game I have circled is Atlanta, after last week's performance no one will want any part of this team, not sure I want to take them if Penix is out, I didn't think the drop off from him to Cousins would be significant, I was wrong, Cousins looked washed yesterday against a bad Dolphins defense, they got completely dominated from start to finish. As for NE, they look like contenders at 6-2 behind Drake Maye who's taken that next step. However, digging a little deeper, their wins have come against Mia, Car, Buf, NO, Ten, and Cle, if you take out the Buf win, the combined record of the other teams is 10-30. I'm not saying the Pats aren't a good team, I think they are, they have a good coach and a good QB, and in the NFL that's half the battle, but maybe not quite as good as their record suggests. The lookahead line for this game was NE -3, so yesterday's results have added a couple of points to the line. Right now the line is 5-5.5, which are considered dead numbers, so I'll wait and see where the line goes. If It's Cousins again I'll have to think about it, but if Penix is a go then I like Atlanta
 
Might have some interest in the Vikings, but need JJ to play, not sure I want any part of Wentz

It wasn’t so much Cousins being bad as it was the OL being awful and the Dr. Jekyll, Mr. Hyde week to week play by the D.

The whole team played like shit, including Cousins, stop with the excuses. Every time one of your favorite QB's plays bad you always blame everyone expect him, his QBR was 35.5, that's bad, to put it in perspective, for the season Justin Fields has a QBR of 38.0 and Geno Smith has a QBR of 34.4

Yes , when I've watched the Pitt D.....They've Sucked . Still believe they suck.

I would say 4. One one point, but a big difference.

I don't care how much money they are paying that defense. They are playing old.

The only player you see on the field is the QB. Defense wins games. Baltimore will start winning again and it's not solely Lamar. The defense is getting healthy. The reason Mahomes played like shit in two Superbowls is because of the TB defense and Philly defense. KC has the best defense in the league this year.

I took Lamar 100-1 MVP because of the defense. Bal will go on a winning streak.

Can't wait for raiders to crank up the excuse machine as to why finger nails sucks. Who will he blame? The receivers, the running back, the line, the coach, who gets the blame since I know he won't blame the QB

Caleb sucks. I call them like I see them. He has the physical talent but something’s missing with finishing plays that break down and he escapes. He plain out misses at times. Good enough to keep the Bears mediocre for 3 years.

Pitt will always get a lot of respect at home. I don't like playing dome teams outside up north from Nov on, especially on grass. Pitt has the worst field in the league outside of Chicago, I couldn't bet Indy either. Pitt does have a qb that backdoor the +3 also.

I take as many shit teams as anyone, but I can't play the Titans, the line is 9.5, but I assume your place is using 10.5, some money came in on them at 10, so anything over that and I can't say it's a bad bet, but personally I'm not on them

It looked good for Indy until that muffed punt. Pitt D actually looked pretty good. They stuffed the run and put tons of pressure on Jones. They still needed 6 turnovers to win. Pressure on Jones caused the turnovers.

I have the Chargers next week but the Alt injury scares me.
 
Happy to hear that you can handicap turnovers…you are the one who told us that the Steeler defense sucked…I just agreed with you…and this wasn’t a trap game
