In the month of September, New Jersey sportsbooks accepted just under $184 million in wagers. That figure is almost double the $95 million in handle that occurred in August.

caesars needs upgrade in software and lift betting limits 1k - sad

MGM/Borgata needs to have a browser version
betstars browser on the way - so they say

hardrock NJ hopefully will have their app/browser up soon - no word yet about bet365

NBA day 2 up already at draftkings & fan duel

Rhode Island and Pennsylvania should both be taking bets within a month from now. Will be very interesting to see what kind of lines they will put out, and what kind of handle they have. Both states are charging huge taxes... wonder what effect it has on vig.

WH dealing dodgers -126/+116
redsox -115/+105

they have NBA win totals up.

make sure you get your deposits at a max , same with account turnoff when you are away from computer. 30 day wait to fix it. Hopefully Rhode Island is better.

So legal betting is finally coming to New England.

Rhode Island starts Monday, and CT will likely soon follow in the first quarter of next year.

Will be interesting to see. Living in Mass my whole life, it’s going to be such a huge change.

We’ll see what RI does with it for now. Very low expectations since the state is a shithole, and nothing is done right there.

How many places?

One or two?

after looking at the lines in NJ , some of the places have the same exact lines. sugarhouse & 888 sport are the same thing , just different names. Who are they trying to fool ? both get their lines from draftkings… they only move the odds a bit. caesars puts their lines out much later in the day. caesars stinks as a book. horrible software.
MGM/Borgata is only on the phone , no website yet. there are more places opening online in December.

Rhode Island is opening 2 locations and no mobile betting. The first one is opening Monday and the other in a month or 2. It’s going to be run by William hill

Ct likely wont be 1st Q...new Gov elect Ned Lamont has prioritized legalization but talk with the 2 tribes (Mohegan) Mashantucket Pequot of (Foxwoods) has not gone well, both sides indicated they were far apart..Biggest sticking point being CT wants to offer it at several brick and mortar locations ,while Native Americans want exclusive..will be interesting to see who blinks first as CT benefits from a lucrative deal with slot revenue..

Stopped by twin river in RI today and checked out the new sportsbook

Surprisingly, they were offering -110 across the board, even on totals. I didn’t think that would happen due to the 50% state tax.

Also surprised.....I thought for sure you would see -120 across the nation....glad I was wrong...

The NJ rollout has been a model for how it should be in every state that has, and will have sports betting. Multiple outs, website betting as well as mobile, competitive juice. Any state that delays it is looking at a lost opportunity. They are Le'veon Belling themselves.
Living in NY, and seeing and hearing the multiple commercials for the multiple Books across the river, all day, every day, with the little "only available in NJ" at the end, just magnifies the idiocy of NY State not passing this immediately. And if any state does do stupid, and deviates away from -110. it probably will be NYS, or at least NYC, as they already were that stupid with OTB. Hopefully they learned their lesson.

Was there earlier.

-110 on college basketball and actually had a decent selection.

Lines were like 20-30 people.

Not enough room for now (opening a bigger one next month).

Not happy that it’s going to interfere with the quietness and emptiness of the racebook, but it will be nice to have legal sports betting.

Noticed a ton of people from mass today also.

Place is a shit hole..5 Clerks in the old coat room of the Racebook is the current setup .Odds board is two or three 20 inch monitors..despite all that, place is packed..goes to show you how New England is starved for sports betting..Building a betting lounge as fast as they can..current setup is as bad as any book I've been in ever..

Setting up a new room in the 2nd floor..100 TVs, 100 seats.. bar with restaurant in the middle. Opening by the end of the month.

And your right, place is always packed. I can’t believe the money some people are betting also. I’m pretty sure the figures will be higher than they expected.

Been there everyday.... at 230 today, the line was 30+ deep and today was a day with one football game. Nfl Sunday is 100+ deep last week and I’m sure tomorrow will be the same.

One thing I do have to say is that I am very happy with the selections and limits for college added games. Got down 500 on UCSB -16.5 today and yet, couldn’t get down half of that on 5dimes. Game looks like a loser, but it’s nice to have the accessibility on obscure games with lines that aren’t as sharp.

Nope..Haven’t heard good things about the casino in general. I heard it was dirty looking the first weekend it was opened. I’m not sure about the sports book/racebook though. Just very out of the way for me

No online yet..Will-Hill is the provider ..Word is Will Hill is the fav for CT as well..

I don’t think online will be happening in ri within the next 2 years.

I was hoping ct would have a different provider.. I think mass is going to go with fan duel though.

My guess is ma and ct are up and running by this time next year
