dumb thread for the squares to talk about. sharps were handicapping golf, Omaha, womens world cup
Says the guy who averages into losing In-Running positions.. If I was as Sharp as you, I'd be fucking broke.

P.S. You probably should have mentioned the Copa America if you want to give the illusion that you are Sharp.

Heard a report that someone hit the Westgate for the Lakers to win the title next season at 5/1 for $10,000.......27 minutes before the story broke that AD went to the Lakers.

$50k is Westgate's futures max win limit.

They were at Sixes before before the news broke? I would have had them as one of the favorites to win the Title as well if they came back as is.

nothing more boring than free agent talk, and is a magnet for morons
Incorrect, Sir. Nothing is more boring than some Square-ass Poster trying to act sharp. Here's some advice, if your going to try and play a Sharp on a Froum, don't do it around guys that can you call you out. I know you're trolling but choosing to mention the Woman;s World Cup over Copa America was a really bad tell. Try harder and be better a Troll.

Lol this fucking guy Haha. Yeah no money to be made in the NBA.. just because you dont like it or dont profit from it doesn't mean it's a bad subject or sport to discuss.
I believe the Lakers will be one of the best fades in pro sports next year. They have 5 players and 26 mil in cap space to sign 5 others.. that is about as shallow of depth as I have seen in ages. If they dont stay healthy and I mean HEALTHY within their starting 5 they will be life and death all year. I say that LOVING Davis's game but hes glass.

They called me Mr. Glass and LBJ is Bruce Willis in this scenario. I'm more worried about AD's health than LBJ's.

We will see what happens when James starts backstabbing Vogel for making him play defense. Also we will see Davis mindset and how things move forward on whether he waives his 4 million trade bonus.

James is a coach killer and he will make short work of Vogel, Lakers are dysfunctional and that has always been their biggest weakness, even when they had talent in their prime. Now they have a guy who might be talented but lazy (Shaq and Bynum so he fits right into Laker history) and a guy who is beat and broken down. And lets not forget the injuries. Set the over under at half the season Davis misses with a bad back (real or not). Then of course another Laker issue...depth/bench. They sold tickets off big names and let the bench just be. So they now might have a couple 'big' names what about the rest of the roster I think they have only 6 guys signed right now. And those 6 guys (depending on when signings happen) are taking up 80 million. Think they have 32 million in 'hard' cap space (at best, with as little as 24 I think), so theyre a little handcuffed on who and how they can sign guys. Its not fantasy league NBA anymore. Well here it is google is your friend I guess....

https://lebronwire.usatoday.com/201...-lakers-cap-space-situation-post-davis-trade/

So first year head coach (who coaches opposite of what most guys want), dinosaur 'superstar', a guy on an expiring contract theyre renting for a year, no bench, cap issues.

People LOVE to talk about 'sharp' and square here. Betting FUTURES is as square as it gets anyway. But that aside betting futures on so many unknowns is just retarded. Look at GSW, a couple twists ans turns and a sure thing goes to a 'gentlemans sweep'.

Lakers are going to get Kawhi
Not at 15m yr they aren't. They're praying for Kemba and still wouldn't have any way to sign 4 other serviceable players at that rate

26 million in cap space. I dont think they can get even a decent bench with that. Its gonna the now javale McGee and Birdman show when A.D. out. Randle who is around the best example of a mid tier guy just turned down 9.5m goodluck finding 5 others with that wiggle room.
Futures are square? What in the world are you talking about? I am going to need a explanation on this one.

They were never a sure thing, no Book is laying a "Sure Thing," they would go out of business the next day.

Do I think LA is going to have a Reign of Terror, yes, the LG is basically fucked as I can't realistically see anyone beating them to 4 in 7. Is it a sure thing, fuck no, there's many a slip between a cup and a lip.

Interesting article in LA Times yesterday stating the LAL made the trade too soon and can only offer 23mil because legally (trade) not official until July 7. July 20 is when they can offer 32mil. Above assuming Davis waives the 4mil trade bonus.

Moreover, as been stated herein....Lakers have only one signed guard. Everyone else was on a one year deal. Maybe they can buy a few of those old school Pitchback nets....spread them around the court and LeBron can pass to himself.

P.S. IMO Lakers should forget about another max deal guy and get some role players. There are some decent mid-level exception guys out there.

Kemba doesn't make sense numbers wise along with the fit with the team. If Kemba is on the floor he is very ball dominant which moves Lebron off the ball. That's not what is best for the team.

A few better options would be JJ Redick (if he takes a cut), Bradly Beals (best option as he could be a number #1 option with the second group when Lebron goes to the bench for a break) or a few other 3 pt specialist who shoot in the 40% range.

What is interesting is which over the hill players are going to come to the Lakers for a vetern's minimum for the chance to win a ring?

They need spacing and shooting, There are guys out there who can either hop on the train or get run over by it. It's really that simple.

I'm really interested to see what LeBron we get this year. This is the 1st year where he didn't play 100ish games in ages so interested to see if he has a little xtra bounce in his step this year or if father time has just caught up with him.

If LBJ is truly interested in winning a title, can he give some of his salary back for cap relief?
The title is basically won if they stay healthy, you guys are the ones talking about this much $ for that, etc. Just get some role players and roll the fucking ball out and we'll roll you over. Obviously I don't know this for a fact but I am using inferential reasoning.

LOL they have six fucking guys signed and depending on timing between 24-32 million to sign the other 8 they need. Not sure if youre just trolling or not I suspect you are, only reason Lakers are in any conversation is how these other 'super' teams are having issues and guys moving. But in reality they shouldnt be a top 5 probably champ right now.

Trolling is your job or you're really as stupid as you sound. Name one team that can be realisitically assembled that can beat them 4 out of 7.

Do you realize how good these fucking guys are? They are Top-5 Champs if they came back as is, right now, they are twice as likely to win a Chip than their nearest competetion,

I don't speak, "Idiot" but I'll try. You idiots love the PERception stat. Well, in the history of basketball, here are the top 3 per guys, EVER.

1. Michael Jordan* 27.91

2. LeBron James 27.593

3.Anthony Davis 27.42

Only 2 of the 3 are active and they are both on the same team, do you get it now?

Fuck PER, i could give two shits about it. I've seen them play, you're fucked, get used to it.

Fox Sports Broussard is saying Kawhi was only interested in Lakerland if they got AD. If somehow Lakers were able to swing it when
their max slot opens up July 20 then I agree it's lights out for the rest of the league. They could fill the rest of the roster with D-League guys.

Broussard says this is coming from someone closely plugged in to the situation.

PER is an offensive stat very little defense if any. Jordan played in an era where the rules were tougher. That is why you have scores 125-124 today which gives you higher points per player
