I saw Lem going into the back room at Little Caesars to visit Gene Maday in the mid-1980's.

No joke, Lem was carrying a briefcase.

I used to bet at Little Caesars. You had to leave the hotel, casino to make a sports bet. A dumpy looking place. They had a sign on the door that said maximum bet $1,000,000. Higher limits available. Small lunch counter, they had a good corned beef sandwich.
