Hong Kong might have higher takeout, too. I remember Dubai had something like 25% on WPS. Maybe Hong Kong does similarly.

thanks for the thread good stuff did not realize he was running in that.. they dont have a minimum place payout in those mutuals. in a way that means less dime breakage but if below 2.10 YIKES you can get some small payouts . same as you know in the england ireland mutuals we bet into... but Ive never seen a $1.01... seen many $1.04s

I was looking into it last night because xpressbet had a promo for Hong Kong

I saw it was a special race day over there and it included a great horse

I should've posted something on the boards last night, not that there was any wagering opportunity. But just something to watch if you like great horses, I guess.

Dubai racetrack/racetracks don't decide on a takeout because they prohibit wagering in Dubai. The simulcasting outlets set their individual takeout when offering wagering from Dubai. Am I wrong about this?

last time they had a big race in dubai, I definitely heard that dubai had crazy fees or whatever resulting in absurd takeout

The high takeout rates came from an American pool on Dubai races.

"I just read from multiple sources on Twitter, Dubai World Cup wagering and all Dubai wagering for that matter is subject to a 27% take out on ALL wagers including win/place. This take out rate was set by the hub they are using out of South Africa. This is obscene and unacceptable I am being forced to completely skip the entire card. I can't allow myself to support any of this. I am hoping I can find some Match up or prop bets here in Vegas but no way will they get one red cent of mine in the parimutuel pool at that criminal take out rate. What a joke."

apparently it went through some hub in South Africa

It had always gone through their Hub in South Africa but for some reason or another Premier Gateway used their Hub in the Isle of Man this year which turned into a complete disaster, it was one blunder after another which cost some ADW's a lot of money.

The takeout % was set by Premier Gateway, the signal fee is how Dubai made money on the deal since they couldn't accept any money from gambling proceeds.

Able Friend is currently 1.5 to win the Queen Anne Stakes in the Hong Kong pool and 3.95 on Betfair.
Race is in 7 1/2 hours!
