Post your +EV Stories or on eating in Vegas

When I my friends and I were in college 15 years ago, we would come to the buffet hungry at the Golden Hour. This is an hour before lunch became dinner so you would only pay for the lunch price and eat the higher priced dinner buffet. LoL

The good one that Railbird posted through Fishead was eating for FREE at the Bellagio's Employee's buffet but no one would check your badge and you walked in liked you belonged. LoL . I have not tried this one and I dont know where it is .

Krackman would raid the $1.25 hot dog stand. They limited him to 3 hot dogs and then Krackman jokingly would "BEARD IN" with a fake mustache / disguise and get another round of 3 hotdogs LoL +EV eating

All about the +EV Eating

Cheapest meal on the strip is in and out burger on the Linq promenade. A can’t miss on every strip visit

Linq sportsbook has a new wings joint adjacent which is pretty solid

I stay away from buffets they are generally -EV health and pricewise

Hash house a go go portions are huge and can generally split them or take copious leftovers back to room fridge.

Herbs and Rye secret is out but their steaks are half price five to eight and midnight to three am. Uber from the strip for the highlight meal of your trip. Sit at the bar.

PBR outside planet Hollywood has a cheap breakfast. Quality only so so but it serves the purpose. Good people watching as well

Generally regardless of the locale, always sit at the bar, better service, friendlier servers. This goes for any big city.

NO shock at all about Rail going to the employee buffet at Bellagio or any place else. My guess is he also does this at places like Hampton and all other places that include breakfast with your stay. They really have no way of knowing who actually spent the night there and who did not.

I went to this one last April. I mystery shopped the store and got a t-shirt for some family member. I love In-N-Out. I avoid it when in Vegas. I do so because back home I have 2 within 2-3 miles of me and about 5 within 10 miles of me. So I avoid I-N-O in Vegas for that reason. If I lived some place where there was no I-N-O I would go there for sure. Sept 1991 when I flew home from CT for a few weeks, Mom and Dad picked me up at LAX and before we got on the freeway we stopped at the I-N-O nearby and I got a burger to eat on the way home (NO spread, light grilled onions, ketchup and mustard on it).

I am not much of a breakfast person as far as eating out. Too many calories, fat, sodium and all. Now I really have to watch what I eat

The Broiler at Boulder Station is sneaky good.

All-you-can-eat salad bar comes with every entree.

Main Street Station - very underrated and for the money it is hard to beat. Right up there among "best value for the money"

Ellis Island steak dinner no longer a value at $9.99.

A couple of my favorite stops when visiting. Always got the inexpensive steak at Ellis Island till I discovered the BBQ. Oh my god is that good! Even the pizza is a winner.

When I'd stay at Palace Station The Broiler was a must. A big Ribeye, baked potato and the all you can eat salad bar. One of the best salad bars I've eaten at. Right up there anyways

Good choices John. Never tried the Wynn buffet. I'll be sure and try it next time out.

You're right. I used to do this when I was younger.
