It looks like the actual Pro Bowl game has finally seen it's days numbered. The too tired to play defense I can't blitz nor charge to block a punt snoozer if a game is going to be replaced by a competition that includes time based individual skills challenges and a flag football game decided by previous recruited selections of players (perhaps). More official details to be released as this change officially takes place. Given the state of the competition anything will be a welcome change over this current format of this restricted all star product the NFL has thus provided.

I imagine there will be lots of tears shed over the loss of this completely meaningless, wasteful "scrimmage". Can we eliminate the NBA All Star game as well?

No loss, most guys dont want to be there and they certainly dont want to play. I wouldn't even have a skills competition, name the best players and give them an all pro award, etc and end it.

To replace the Pro Bowl, how about some type of fan-friendly, meet-and-greet, made-for-television convention featuring high-profile NFL players sponsored by -- who else -- other than FanDuel and DraftKings?

When it was in HI the game was sold out every year........because companies would send top employees to the game to reward them for their work the past year. I won a trip to the 2000 game. I went for 1Q then left. The only reason I went is to see some of a Pro Bowl game.

Once it moved from HI, and players lost the chance to bring their family to HI for a paid week's vacation.......and the desire to take part in the game

No reason to get upset. The die has been cast. It is what it is status. I agree getting rid of the game. It was a comical disgrace. Flag football is actually the she's perfect alternative. They should have the player's wives and girlfriends play. In their panties.

I remember betting UNDER 43 in a Pro Bowl game in the late 1980s.

The Pro Bowl total in 2013 hit 90.

Their regular money got too big, so they no longer care about crumbs, certainly not the sklilled/experienced/high paid players people wanted to see. Not socialism but football has gone down the rabbit hole of leftism, what was it, a year ago they all had BLM banners in the end zones?

When football started embracing social causes, enacted speech codes, started suspending people who have not been charged or convicted, that was the beginning of the end. Look at the super bowl - they're going to have another trashy black act for halftime(rihana?), why do that? Football is not a black sport -( basketball is a black sport), I have no idea what their true motivation is but they're doing it wrong.

Let the players play.

The NBA, unlike the NFL or MLB, understands the entertainment value of the game is linked to the rule book.

One more note on penalty flags: As a dedicated gambler who watches countless hours of football every week, can we eliminate the bright yellow towels or bright yellow shoes on the field?

Additionally, the neon yellow advertising graphic used by ESPN on the bottom right side of the television screen is both devious and distracting.

Give gamblers a break.

Look, there's a reason why the game is played in Hawaii, the league knows no one wants to play the game, but the players look at it as a free trip to Hawaii, so they take their families and make a mini vacation out of it, had the game always been played in Cleveland, it would have ended a long time ago

When I think about the pro bowl, this is the only thing I remember, for anyone who never got to see the great Sean Taylor, this is all you need to see
