Repeating a losing bet in baseball

Comparable to poker
In poker Sometimes it’s the second bet or
Even the third bet/Bluff that gets the pot.
So often in baseball
Repeating the losing bet tomorrow
After losing today
Is a winning formula
Sometimes hold your nose
rinse and repeat and cash

go against bosox sale pitching at home?

All fair questions
And having the proper odds over rides everything
So
My answer (or non answer) is each situation
You allude to is worth a strong consideration
If not a wager
The second chance bets is a very strong winning subset
For me
I don’t always bite but I always consider them.

I agree they could be good bets. I remember CSW use to keep stats on odds & stats. They had a very interesting section that you were talking about. It kept the amount of series that were split , won, lost and tied during the year. Now the oddsmaker must go one step further keeping these stats every year seeing if there are trends. CSW use to put the odds included if it won or lost money during the year also.

sorry for the format , but you get the idea …….. HL would be home lost HW home won

CSW does not exist anymore I wish it did. They use to use the odds from the stardust. openers& closers.

Hmmm...

There's an old expression in baseball that goes against BOMZEE's theory: "Nothing that happened last year or last night matters today."

Of course, that's not true, especially when it comes to bullpen usage.

Often times, I believe last night's winner has an edge the following night because the loser's bullpen is more likely to be ravaged.
