Serious ethics question - Poker

I just played live poker at a table with an 70+ yr old guy breathing on an oxygen bottle, he lost around $500 out of his SS check. The last 200 dollars were lost in full tilt mode:doh1 I took my 'fair' share of this old guy's money but now at home I feel a bit ashamed. I know one has to be a shark at the tables but? Anyone felt this way before under similar situation?
