Plain and simple! The Chicago Bears at the end of the season could be one of the worst teams in the league and the Kansas Chiefs need this home game. Yes I know the Bears won last week against Oakland 22-20 but going to KC and playing the Chiefs is not like playing the Raiders at home. Kansas City has lost 3-straight but that stops Sunday and KC wins big Sunday afternoon. Chicago is 2-8 ATS in the month of October and KC is 6-2 ATS in their last 8 home games.

5 Unit Play. Take #466 Cincinnati -3 over Seattle (1:05p.m., Sunday October 11)
So this game open up around Bengals -2 and now the Bengals are a solid -3 at home and I still believe this game has value. Seattle comes to Cincy on a short week and what I saw Monday Night from Seattle I'm still not sold on the Seahawks. The Bengals will pressure Russell Wilson and if Wilson can't hold on to the ball I see the Bengals defense controlling the line. The Bengals last week destroyed the Chiefs last week and Andy Dalton controlled the offense and the O-Line gave him outstanding protection. Defense will win this game and I believe the Bengals defense will outplay the Seattle defense. Seattle is 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games and the Bengals are 17-5-1 ATS in their last 23 home games.

4 Unit Play. Take #476 San Diego -3 over Pittsburgh (8:25p.m., Monday October 12)
Last time I check my Sports Options screen it still said Michael Vick was the starting QB for the Pittsburgh Steelers. SO if you are telling me I get to choose Phillip Rivers at home or Michael Vick who is coming off a horrible game in his last start. I'm picking Philip Rivers at home! Michael Vick is not even close to the old Michael Vick and if he continues to over-throw his WR-RB Monday night will be a long night for the Steelers offense again. The favorite is this series is 7-3 ATS and again this game is being played in San Diego and the Chargers come out on top by a touchdown or more.

Cincy just keeps getting small home lines, and they keep covering them. I love the Bengals here. They are just a better football team than Seattle. The Bengals defensive front is going to give the Seahawks fits on Sunday. Seattle’s offensive line is in shambles and they won’t be able to stop the pressure that is coming Russell Wilson’s way. If Wilson wasn’t the Seahawks QB, if they had a less mobile signal caller this team would be lucky to have one win.
Seattle just hasn’t looked all that good. Even in their shutout victory over the Bears, they could only muster one offensive touchdown. Life will be considerably harder in Cincinnati. The Bengals offense will also be just fine versus this Seattle defense. The Seahawks won’t have the 12th man on their side, and they won’t be as dominant. The Seahawks defense has given up an average of nearly 30 points a game through their two road games thus far this year, both loses. The Seahawks are 0-4 ATS in their last four games following a S.U. win and 1-5 ATS in their last six games overall.
Cincy meanwhile just continues to dominate their home turf as they are 17-5-1 ATS in their last 23 home games. The Bengals are also 4-0 ATS in thier last four games overall. Lay the points on the home team as they are just better

Washington is just 4-11 ATS on the road in their last 15 and committed 110 penalties in the 23-20 win over lowly Philadelphia scoring the game-winning touchdown with 23 seconds left. Coach Quinn has the Birds believing and why shouldn’t they? The Georgia Dome has once again become an intimidating place for visitors. Matt Ryan has already thrown for 1202 yards and the key is the protection he’s getting from the new-fangled offensive line. Considered the weakness of the team entering 2015, the offensive line has been the strength. Ryan had been hit the fewest times of any NFL quarterback entering last week and has been sacked just six times in four games. He’s hitting 67 percent with a 6-2 ratio. Don’t get too excited about Kirk Cousins. The bottom line is he’s 6-13 straight-up as a starter for the Redskins including 1-6 on the road. There’s something to be said about hot teams and hot coaches. The Falcons have scored 137 points in four games. Washington allowed 32 to the Giants in their only road effort and let’s not forget this team lost their home opener to Miami, who fired their coach this week. I love the fact the Falcons have zero turnovers in their last three games and have an established running game w/ Devnota Freeman, who already has seven touchdowns (leading the league). Oh yeah, forgot to mention some guy named Julio!

The Denver Broncos have a more difficult game than many believe. They will have trouble scoring points and laying points on the road in a division game is no easy task with what Petton Manning brings to the field. Oakland coach Jack Del Rio used to be the defensive coordinator for the much vaulted Bronco defense so he should be able to counter his game plan to anticipate and exploit what Denver plays on the defensive side of the ball. Raiders QB Derek Carr has gotten off to a solid start in his second season, completing 62.6 percent of his passes for 922 yards with seven touchdowns. Latavius Murray needs to get his 100 yards rushing to compliment the future great duo of Carr passing to Amari Cooper. Cooper is catching 5 passes per game in his rookie season and is improving weekly. Del Rio is looking to guide Oakland to its first 3-2 start since it finished with eight victories in 2011. He may have help from Peyton Manning. His passer rating of 80.8 is his lowest since his rookie year of 1998 and he's thrown five interceptions. Manning has been sacked 10 times, putting him in jeopardy to get hurt at any given time. His arm is old and tired and to throw it long, it is rarely like a bullet on a shoestring. A high thrown lob pass leads to these interceptions. This is a very winnable game for the Raiders. TAKE OAKLAND

Buyer beware! There's something wrong with what the Oddsmakers are trying to sell. Arizona is averaging 39 points per game. The Detroit Lions have scored a total of 38 points in their 4 games. So let's ask the Cardinals to win by a simple little field goal and pay everyone. After all, Zona scores more in one game than all the games the Lions have played together. Free money from Vegas? Not a chance. Last week the Cardinals suffered a loss and Palmer was sacked four times. Can Detroit do what the Rams did? Arizona has scored at will and has a 100% red zone scoring success this season. To further our contrarian thinking, the Cardinals have limited their last two opponents to a total of 217 passing yards. This seems like the perfect storm for the bettors. But Vegas won't give a popular high scoring favorite to the public to bet in the late games. So it has to be Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson. Don't do match ups with this game. That will not work. This is 31 years of smelling that something is wrong. That the money is off and that the oddsmakers gambling is streaky along with Arizona off a loss and now hitting the road. The Lions are prideful and desperate. Final score is 21-20. Won't matter which side wins. The big winners are the contrarian thinkers. TAKE DETROIT

There are many that are loving the predicament that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his team are in. But for those that can't stand him, there are an equal number of Patriot haters out there. And even more, there is a love across America that has claimed the Cowboys as "America's team". The battle cry on Sunday will be epic. With 80,000 fans trying to help stop a 2 game losing streak and a welcome back party for Greg Hardy as he finally get to enter the defensive side of the Cowboys. The Cowboys could very well be 4-0 but surrendered leads to Atlanta and New Orleans. Their defensive counterpart is a very young Patriot squad of players. The Pats "D" is a ball-hawking group in their secondary and it can be a matter of inches if the ball is thrown for an INT or a TD. Brandon Weedon is a capable QB that can keep his team within the pointspread. Dallas' offensive line can move mountains. The Cowboy defense has to come up big to win this game outright. If they fall short, the points will be fine with all the Root bettors. For those that want confirmation that New England comes out of their bye-week with success, you are correct. However, this recent bye-week did little for them. They had momentum at 3-0. They had only started the season and didn't need a break. They had no injuries to heal and the Oddsmakers know the public will eat up that fact and bet the Patriots. Look for a incredible fight by the Cowboys. TAKE DALLAS

Saints are off a Sunday Night win over Dallas while the Eagles are off a division loss to the Redskins. Yes, Washington did need to rally late to win that game, but keep in mind that it was the Redskins that ended up with a 417-320 yardage edge in that contest and had nine more FD's than the Eagles. That was with Kirk Cousins at QB, and now it is Drew Brees. For their part, the Saints had a 438-335 yardage edge against the Cowboys last week in that win. So, we have one team that was outgained by almost 100 yards favored by more than a TD against a team that outgained its foe by 103 yards last week, and we have some solid good underdog/poor favorite trends in our favor as well, to go along with the fact that last season, on this field, the Saints won 26-24, with nine (26-17) more FD's and a 434-256 yard edge. We will go with the underdog in this one and the outright upset is not a surprise.
