Just hearing this story, was he ever married to the woman? Keep hearing "ex" term but guess it was his girlfriend at the time.

Holy cow I think Megabucks is min. 10 million, so if lump sum payout is guessing around 5 million and no state tax, she must have walked away with min 3 million.

Jackpot paid approx $12 million and a bit south of $6 million net after tax.

After the win, Pauly wanted a gym membership and was denied
He wanted to fly to NYC in 1st class but again, denied,
Pauly wanted $100k for laying about -220 Mayweather vs canelo Alvarez in 2013, but again was denied.

Not sure how long they lasted after the Megabucks score, but he was drawing dead.

Thanks for the link, great story.

Must have been the Rampart one based on time frame around Holiday party and the after tax/lump sum being around 42.7% (Wizard of Odds). That would be right about 6 million.

Almost certain this was the one based on Pauly saying it happened in 2012 on a Friday right before holidays.

Also, the published IGT Jackpot amount is the sum of all annual future payments. Ie. long term annuity.

So If you ask for a lump sum immediately, they calculate annuity Present Value discount and reduce jackpot
to the Present Value lump sum accordingly.
Scam obviously.

This was all in the fine print as Pauly explained on air last week in part 1.

If Pauly would have ended up jobless, homeless, and living in the tunnels, this story could have been a movie.

Woman does sound like a whack job, she gave the friend on the show who works at SP as a sportsbook supervisor 10k to blow, but ahe wouldn't buy her boyfriend a gym membership or first class upgrade?

That Mitch/Rhino story reminds me of a trip to Houston and Rick's Caberet.

Early 90's, probably 1991 boss sends me (about 27 at the time) and another coworker about 50 down there to evaluate some software package.

Company marketing guy really wants a good evualation so takes us to Rick's on last night. This place is top notch, penthouse pet/playboy centerfold dancers, there must have been 80 girls working 2 large rooms and VIP lounges (the band Whitesnake later showed up).

My coworker not really into the scene leaves and catches a cab back to hotel after about 90 min, and I say I'll ride with the employee from other company, no freakin way I'm leaving.

So I must have had 40-50 lap dances and food/booze and 5 hrs later guy from other company disappears, nowhere to be found.

I get pulled into the offices and they want me to cover the 3 grand bill because the guy ditched without signing the credit card bill. I tell the manager I don't know the guy and there is no way I'm covering the 3k bill and explain the situation.

He leaves me in the office for about 15 min, comes back and just says get out of here and don't come back. I get on a pay phone in lobby and and call hotel and wake up coworker about 2am who drives to club and picks me up.

So a great night with some of the most beautiful women on the planet. Definitely best night night I've ever had in strip club.

The marketing guy in the other company never took a call from me to find what the deal was of why he ditched and we never used their software, just told the boss there were issues with their product.

Pauly made the payout confusing. You always have the option of a 20 year annuity with IGT, assuming they are still around. They persuade you to take the present value lump sum, I would assume it has to do with minimizing the paperwork for them.
