Zoos and museums at 25%.

Outdoor sporting events at 20%.

Racetracks are not allowed to welcome visitors.

The numbers seem arbitrary.

I heard that Churchill Downs owns Arlington Park and has ownership in Bet Rivers Casino near O'Hare. I think they want to to off AP and focus more on the Bet Rivers sportsbook. Now why couldn't they have a sportsbook or a casino at AP? Beats the heck out of me except to follow the money.

I was hoping to steer the discussion to attendance at casinos, racetracks and athletic events.

Outdoor basketball courts are packed in Hammond, Indiana.

No one's playing hoops in neighboring Calumet City, Illinois.

Cook county population has been dropping, could be moving to the outer suburbs, Indiana, and SW Michigan.

I think I've read a few articles on how blacks are moving out and young whites are moving in to the near south,west, and north sides. There are about 10 big new apartment buildings in various stsges of construction here in west loop

Seems like pressure from the casino industry and/or Illinois desperate for casino tax dollar revenue. I would say both.
