Way too many to list, but hardly any in the past 4-5 yrs.

From
NCAA Football Md,Navy, Basketball Md GTown, Baseball Md, Soccer, Lacrosse, md Hopkins Wrestling Md
AHL Hockey Skipjacks-Clippers, NHL Hockey Caps
NFL Colts, Ravens, Steelers
NBA (ironically I have never seen an NBA game live since the Bullets when I was 5 years old
MLB too many teams to list.
MISL Soccer, over 300 games Blast home and several away games for many years

The highlights would be Orioles post season and World Series games and a few ACC Tournaments.

Re: Sporting events you've been to in person??

Get out more Mo. The only things you really remember are the finals of anything. I have seen 2 "clinchers" plus a Super Bowl, just haven't seen one I really want which is a team getting the Stanley Cup. Plus I saw a Final Four, a bunch of Rose Bowls, Summer and Winter Olympics, a World Cup final, plus a bunch of other stuff I doubt others care much about.

I know you most here aren't big hockey fans, but the most intense event I ever saw was the Stanley Cup Finals game a couple years ago in Anaheim. Playoff hockey is insane, but a Finals game which is scoreless until late in the 3rd period is off the charts. You don't even have to be a big fan of either team, just the nervous energy there is unlike anything you will ever see in sports.

i've been at alot of "stuff", but i was at the 2007 afc championship game where the colts came back to beat the pats in indy. i can't imagine a sporting experience being any better or more intense than that. it was un-fucking-real. hard to imagine a sporting event eclipsing it.

i take it you're an indy guy who relocated to houston?

i'm an indy guy who lived in dallas for a while.. and san diego & manhattan... i caught a colts/chargers game in sd and a few rangers & padres games, but i tried to avoid the beatdown i'd have gotten in texas & NYC for flying my true colors. a lack of money helped me uphold my puss-ass philosophy... tho i did go to the packers/redskins game in green bay last season & wore my colts jersey to the game just for the fuck of it (girlfriend was a GB fan... my hypocrisy only goes so far).

NBA - Milwaukee, Minnesota, saw the Olympic team play in Vegas (trials)
NCAAF - Wisconsin
NCAABB - Marquette
PGA - 7 day pass for the PGA Championship in 2004 at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin. Went to the FBR Open for 1 day (sat.) this year at the TPC Scottsdale in Arizona.

When i went to the Colts game a few years ago ('99-2000, just looked, i still have the program for the HS game), on that Friday we went to a high school game in Bloomington. Bloomington North vs Franklin Central. Jared Jeffries was a Senior, Scott May junior, Sean May sophmore. Errek Suhr was the starting point guard as a freshman, played with 1 arm, i think he had a broken arm or hand i don't remember. Hoosiers fans know of him I'm sure, energenic crazy man. That was awesome to watch, almost no fans there, sat right at halfcourt, front row.

Re: Sporting events you've been to in person??

ones of note - been to many games - but these are the most special ones

Feb 24, 1983 - the GREATEST Sporting event I have ever been to....in front of 5.005 people in a 4,100 seat Gym Cal State Fullerton 86, #1 and unbeaten UNLV 78. we all stormed the court with about 2 seconds left. i was mentally exhausted after the game. i would pay just about anything for a good copy of the game - but sadly sense it will never happen - bummer

1992 - Winter Olympics.....saw the Men's Figure Skating Finals, a 1,500 Franc (less than $300 US at the time) ticket for most but i got in for free

1992 Olympics - the FIRST USA/USSR Men's Ice Hockey rematch since the 1980 "Miracle in Ice" - the 2nd greatest sporting event i have ever been to - you had to be there to experience the game - it was the SEMIS meaning the winner played for Gold. USA tied it @ 2 late in 2P and the place went NUTSO. USSR scored 2 in 3P though

2000 - Pro Bowl. shitty boring game but i won a free trip to HI so who the hell cared about the game - we left after 1Q

2002 - Angels/Giants G7 of the World Series. i recall in t* it got loud, then in B8 it got even louder and in T9 it got even louder and when Darin Erstad caught the final out it got even louder. i have Goose BUmps just thinking about it. been to many playoff games

2003 - Ducks/Satans - G4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Ducks won 1-0 on an OT goal a few minutes in. Been to many playoff games - NOTHING better than playoff hockey
