I don't follow or bet ACC football. But last night in the car, on VSIN they had a guy from the Weather Channel who supposedly bets totals, and he gave three totals plays. One was Syracuse/Duke Under. He was expecting temps in upper 30s, plenty of rain, and high winds. The opening number was 56 and had been steadily bet down. I just looked at wunderground.com for Durham, and the weather didn't look so bad. The radar shows some heavy rains in South Carolina, but that's probably 100 miles south, at least. The hour by hour is only listing rain at 15% during the game. The temps? About 10 degrees warmer than expected. Winds expected to be a factor, around 14-15 MPH, but currently they were mostly at 5. If the sportsbooks thought 56 was the right number to open at, and weather chasers drove it down assuming bad conditions, we have to have some value on the over now at 49 1/2.

The Louis/NC St total opened 59 and is now at 51.5, whatever bad weather was expected in Durham is probably also expected in Raleigh

According to WeatherUnderground, rain chance at 60% with winds 15-25 mph with higher wind gusts possible

The real early under bettors cashed but the storm chasers got killed by final TD as the game goes over for the vast majority and closing line.
