Working on it. But I shouldn't be penalized for being new to the forum.

Probably b/c I can't think of 100 people that post here with any sort of regularity

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

I've never understood why most forums value quantity over quality in number of posts. I was a regular at the old LVA board and made a total of about 4500 posts in 4 years, and I thought that was a lot. You start to value quantity over quality and eventually you get dopes like Raiders who reply to themselves seven times in a row, or degenerates like Mofome who start threads where they post 20 times in a row about the bad beat they're about to take in some football game.

You sir, are preaching to the choir. I usually try to just post my picks in case somebody follows them or fades them.

That's fine, and they're appreciated. Obviously quality is more important than quantity. But being a loyal poster who's been here a long time also helps.

And since you just found out that you had to contact Tucker, I assume you didn't read much into any of this other than knowing what the prize is...

So, FYI, folks chosen will have to go live on the radio Friday nights to talk about their selections. I say that because we actually had a couple of guys decline an invitation for that reason.

Tucker releasing the list in a couple of days. Good luck. :cheers

Kinger, I normally don't listen to the radio show. So I obviously didn't know anything short of what you've posted in this thread. Assuming that I could get into the contest and then participate on the show by phone from Alabama, then I'd have no problem. I do believe that my interest is futile at this point.

Very futile, they had most if not all of the entrants picked before they even made the thread about it.
I'm sure... I guess the only way around it in the future is to have good season or two and then threaten to go to another forum...

false, not even half, around 7 were confirmed..I never denied that..Takes time to get 16 legit posters who are willing to be on the radio, wont make a fool out themself (like i did), and will draw some listeners..

There is still spots open

I have been denied by a few as well

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

Maybe I should get the last spot for my past give aways. :LMAO Just kidding. I will not be part of an elite contest.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

No doubt you would've been in this one, Mammon, but you went berserk in the past year, after being invited to the cool-kid club.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

If you have to ask for an invite doesnt that demean it? I mean if you have 10 guys begging to get in and need 16 slots then what? You have to beg 6 other people to fill them?

An Invitational by definition should be invite only. And you shouldnt have to ask to get in, you should get in on merit. How merit is defined is up to the people doing the inviting.

So when the day the names are announced and people say "why did they get in' the response shouldnt be....'they were the only ones that asked'.

This contest is an Askitational. Please do not confuse it with an Invitational.

You have to ASK to be in it.

The contest should be called the $10,000 EOG Askitational.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

Is it true you were nowhere to be found when VD was in Vegas, Meaty? Why is it when someone you talk shit about goes there- you're never around? Very weird.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

I figure PO wouldn't even ask because Tuckman is making the picks. PO would leave Tuckman behind along with his pets in a hurricane.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

trytrytry must have been already asked to join.

But i dont think that he would agree to go on air to make the picks. try3 always seemed to avoid talking to sportsbooks or others on the phone whenever possible

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

is it a safe assumption that if you didnt receive a response PM, you dont need to check the list?
i have had 125+ pm's, noway do i have time to respond to each and every one of them..The reason i had people let me know they were interested because hopefully you read the whole post and relize u will need to go on the radio..People have stated they were interested, but then changed their mind once they relized the radio was involved..It was just a way to gather some interest in who might have wanted in..

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

Understood. didnt expect you to respond to everyone, thats why when I read some have backed out already, I figured the people making the list, would be asked first.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

Who would be on your list of guys for this contest, PO?
1. trytrytry (but he wont do it because of the radio thing I dont think)
2. PO69
3. fishhead
4. bagiant
5. viejo dinosaur
6. journeyman
7. jerseyshop

I am forgetting a few, but to be honest I have never heard of some of the guys who "have" gotten an invite or who asked in the thread

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

EOG will publish the entire field for this year's event on Tuesday, September 11.

The pairings for opening-round action in The $10,000 EOG Invitational will be released this Wednesday with a comprehensive preview -- complete with future-book prices -- published Thursday on the eve of the first head-to-head showdown featuring WVU.

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

Is the field already set in stone? I would have suggested a play in open to all posters for the 16th spot.

Either way, let's have some fun and make some money

Re: The $10,000 EOG Invitational-- Who's making it in?

thats a good idea WVU u cant have the same people in the damn tournaments all the time

nominated same cock suckers all the time let the new bloods in it have there should be at least

a tournament to see who can make it in now just by selecting the same field ove and over
