The Cure is one of my favorite bands, too bad I think theyre done as a band. My favorite band is depeche mode, and they just came out with a new album..actually, it comes out on the 18th, but ive heard it and its pretty good. Going to see them at The Joint in Las Vegas in November

Oh man what a thread I go go on for days. The cure are awesome Robert Smith has some amazing songs love Boy's Don't Cry, Love Song, Pictures of You etc etc. Most Cure fans are also Depeche Mode fans and vice versa. Ok biased opinion time. Depeche Mode is like nothing out there good or bad they have a snyth pop sound like a New Order or even like the Killers today but its Martin Gore's lyrics that set them apart. Its like every song has a meaning to it not just words followed by a catchy hook with happens way to often in music. If you are curious listen to Strangelove...Enjoy the Silence (I can bet you once you hear the song you'll go oh they sing that) Blasphemous Rumours I really could go on for days (I am biased if my avatar was working you'd see why) If you wanna listen to a CD that capture's Depeche Mode I suggest getting (downloading) Depeche Mode 101 from their live concert in the Rose Bowl back in 1987. I can't think of a song more annoying and more grating on my nerves than Love Cats. No matter how good any of their other stuff might be, I just can't get on board with a band who could blast that crap at innocent people.
