Mags Ham Bun. Mile high ham sandwiches with tomato on a bun for 40 cents. Across from Pink Pony and two stores down from T-Bar-Theatre where double feature movies including cartoons and cliff-hanger serial were 12 cents (under 12).
op:
Yeah, I don't think that's there anymore.
What mall did they put in place of the High School? Fashion Square? Great place :btj:
There is a Pink Pony strip club in Atlanta, so Glisan's instincts were not off the mark.
Guess both his hodar and gaydar are working.
Scottdale High was just north of Indian School Road and several blocks East of Scottsdale Road. Am guessing that is where Fashion Square Mall is today? What about Lute's Pharmacy on Scottsdale Road? Still there? Hope you're a Sun Devil fan. Never missed a game as a kid back in the day when Dan Devine was head coach and then followed by Frank Kush. Danny White was great qb and later had good career with the Cowboys. Ned Wulk had some great basketball teams especially when Jumpin' Joe Caldwell was aboard.
Well, Fashion Square Mall is at the head of Old Downtown Scottsdale. It's on Scottsdale & Camelback. So, that's probably not it... there's a smaller shopping center in the area you're talking about... maybe that's it.
And there's this really old pharmacy in the downtown area... it might be Lute's...
When did you move away, Jackie?
