You got plenty more in ya.

You better at least last till I make my way out to Thailand!

I think I read you were coming back to Vegas in the summer? If you do, let me know and I'll make the trek.

BW, BB, Dinky,{ Davey K(Donut}, AB, Oscar, Artie, Bear, Koshers, and Ronnie Brown, These are the ones off the top of my head. They were all tough to beat. That was the best days in this business for me, because I loved catering to wiseguys. They all knew my voice and they all loved when they had me on the phone back when I was clerking because they all knew they were all on and off the phone in a matter of seconds, I'm not bragging but I was lightening fast on the phone and I was giving them all the changes in between the rundowns. Whenever I held a particular game my bosses knew to hold up that particular game because they all knew I knew every wiseguy that came in. I will never ever forget those good ole days.

ha, I was expceting to see my name in the list of Wiseguys. Agree with your rundown except for Dink. I have taken the kid's action and found it to be very square.

yeah I don't think you sound like you're bragging......:lol

From what I gathered both. He's 83 yrs old though. I just got the feeling that he's seen his better days. I don't know him personally, but I do know and trust the guy I was talking to. He is an old school guy and has been around awhile. He'd walk thru fire for eugene.
Thanks for the info, I will find out this morning how he's doing. I could really tell some good stories about swamper from 40 plus years ago. They don't come any honest as this man when it comes to paying off which wasn't that many weeks years ago.

Sound's like my info might have been a bit exaggerated. I should not have posted that. Someone more in the know than myself said he's better than ever.

As I understand it, Dink considers himself a hockey expert.

His knowledge of other sports pales in comparison to his knowledge of the NHL.

Jeff Jones, I guess why Rainbow calls this the Pioneer days, its because that is exactly what it is. They were clerks for the FIRST (PIONEERS) bookmakers to leave the USA and open a call center for the purpose of taking wagers in a foreign country. They were young kids, single and looking for adventure. They and their bosses went to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Venezuela and finally Costa Rica and set up shop not knowing the legal climate or anything else about these countries. They didn't speak the language either. Pretty much every one of them have been arrested and sat in a banana republic jail for their efforts. Then came the internet with terrible infrastructures as the countries were slow to go online. These people started the offshore bookmaking business, if thats not a pioneer, then what is?

Would of loved to witness what everyone saw back in the day. I love to hear the stories.

I knew Bruce...what a horrible way to go....

And the worst part was he had a young daughter living in the San Diego area. We used to book his action and he just kept on winning. Didn't know he was part of the PC group and was putting in Walters plays. We kept on cutting his limits and started betting his plays with other outs we had. Made us some money!

How much money did this broad think he kept in the house? Just wasn't worth it.

Ray, how do you explain the first two great years and then the really bad ones after that? They really did own it the first year...I know because I moved for them when I was in Vegas during my probation...

They were in business before BW even existed, the Swamper was moving for them back in the day. Whenever the brains passed away they never were the same.

The linesmakers probably figured out what they did. It's never good if the book that puts up openers knows the real side of an originator that dominates a sport.

The favorites really had a great baseball season when the Koshers were constantly betting the dogs...got to be a joke in the office when they would give us the order and a couple guys wanted to book them for themselves....

Re: THE TOUGHEST WISEGUYS TO BEAT

Seems like their methodology was a little flawed if they could never find a favorite to bet.

I think they still fire away as soon as Grande opens every day during baseball. Blow a game or 2 to smithereens around 11:05 AM EST and take the rest of the day off.

No idea if they win or not but they get the lines moving for sure
