Trubisky and the Bears or BJ and the Bears?

I will personally walk into a sportsbook and lay $10,000 on over 9.5 wins or whatever it is at for next season if the Bears pick up somebody with experience at QB. And record it

Peolle keep on bringing up Mahomes. Mahomes wasnt even on peoples radar at the top. Watson is the one they should lose sleep over. Pace should lose sleep over.

Todd Collins, Henry Burris, Cade McNown, Rick Mirer.....
There was a Burris game in champaign...going to those games there sucked..where I needed the Bears to get shuout to cash a bet...they obliged.
An offshore book offered a group of 4 teams and I bet tbe bears to score the fewest. One of teams scored 3

If I remember correctly, there was a game in Champaign that Burris started in which the Bucs came in having never won a game in under 32 degree weather. Many forget that Tampa was in the old NFC Central for many years, along with the Bears, Packers, Vikings and Lions so they had plenty of opportunities. But this was 2002 and even the sub freezing temps couldn't stop that Tampa team.

Most every ranking had him in the middle of the 1st round. Looking back of some of these, have to wonder why some rise and fall so much.

Thats the game I won my bet on.
Tampa in the division was fun back in the 85 era.
We would go to the Bear games @tampa back then...good times

Headline just shown on ESPN crawl during MNF pregame:

"Mitchell Trubisky underperforms at Philadelphia".

Wow. I never knew. They are really cutting edge at the 4 letter network.

Put this into perspective, hes been so bad that the Bears are still only losing games by a small margin because the defense is no joke.

13 and 3 with Teddy guaranteed next year.

Trubisky needs the threat of him running to open things up a bit. But with an injured left shoulder, he's gun shy to run. As a dropback passer, defenses don't respect him. And it's easy to see why.

Olin Kreutz breakdown of the first half...it was all on the offensive line... not one play was on Mitch

This just isnt true. They have faults but they arent to blame when you are better on the run and move then in the pocket.

I will bet even Dalton can pick out Robinson and those guys better than Trubisky with the same offensive lone.

Wanny broke down a play where Trubisky was sacked.....ribinsin read man coverage and Trubisky read zone which was correct.....what should have been an easy completion if Robinson stops as he should have turns into a sack with Trubisky holding the ball going WTF...blame all around for this

Offensive lines tend to look like shit when your QB can't read defenses..............
This. 1000X this. The QB is the biggest determinant in OL play. Crap QB's make OL's look worse than they are, good ones make them look better. I used to buy into the OL is the be all and end all crap, until NE 2007-2009. It was the same OL. In 2007 with Brady, he was sacked 21 times. In 2008 with Matt Cassel, sacked 47 times, worst in the NFL. In 2009 with Brady, sacked 16 times. Did the OL go from great, to league worst, to great again. Or was the QB the main determinant? The answer is obvious, and it cured me of always blaming an OL for a teams offensive ills.
Fact is nowadays there are very few good to great OL's(Dallas, NO) anymore. The majority of them are mediocre or worse, because of College rules and lack of NFL practice time. Good and Great QB's overcome it, crap ones don't. Current Eli would still be garbage behind Dallas's OL. Russell Wilson would still be great behind the Giants OL.

Denver's offensive was the leagues worst when Manning took over. Instantly they became one of the best in the NFL.

The Patriots put any average offensive lineman in there and the line is still great.

Reading defenses will always be key to having a great offense.........

Teams just don’t let OL’s test FA either. It’s just as important to a team as a qb. The Bears probably kept Kyle Long two years too long, but there are few options. The limited practice time is a very good point.

He and the Bears have made national news for how bad the offense is. It will be interesting to see what transpires against Detroit on Sunday.

Another loss most likely, stafford is playing pretty well, unlike Trubisky, Stafford has some talent at QB, in that he can actually make throws.

I rarely play college teasers, I stick with Wong teasers in the NFL, I look for games with low totals, this week the Lions are a perfect example of what I look for

ESPN is a fucking joke as is Steven Asshole Smith.

Like the other day Smith got Durant to say that Draymond Green was part of the reason he left. Then for the next 24 hours ESPN blasted it on their ticker...

What a piece if shit they all are... I don't know why these athletes ever talk to those assholes
