A couple of minor incidents as a assistant coach there. Probably more shoving at a salad bar.

Interesting however, they're paying him what is owed because the dismissal was deemed without cause.

OTOH...Kelly has had more than enough time. Bruins will probably be stupid enough to give him a extension.

Probably money ahead as UCLA isn’t paying 2 coaches next year.

It will be interesting what Bruins do. They might be waiting until the
buyout provision expires mid Jan. Nonetheless, program spinning it;s
wheels with him. He lucked out ex-Michigan back transfered there.

Socal has a declining Black population, they are being pushed out by hispanics and asians, every mnt west and p12 school recruit socal, and now 5 stars going to the southeast. not alot to go around.

UW might take Chip if he got canned so wouldn't surprise me to see UCLA hold on to him for a little while.

Pac12 is falling behind, hard to get coaches to come out west. Just a fact of life now, supposedly UW would like to get a shot at Baylor's Aranda but seems like no chance in hell it will happen.

Do You Really Think That Any College Football Team That Resides in The Pacific and Mountain Time Zones, Is Ever Going To Be a Contender For a National Championship ?

It's Like Mentioning That a Triple A Baseball Team, Has a Chance To Make To It To Major League Baseball's World Series.

They Are All Second Rate Teams In Those 2 Time Zones.

It's Going To Be The Same Thing Next Year.

Doesn't Matter Who The Head Coaches Are in Those Time Zones.

Pretty funny, Ducks got like the last guy they could try to sell to their fanbase thanks to Mario leaving late in the process. He may not have meant it, but he basically walked out the door with a Fuck the Ducks sign on his back because they were losing recruits daily and that's why they couldn't wait for Chip to come on board. That buyout provision til January was put in his contract for precisely this reason, no college coach is going to get hired in January with the way the calendar works these days.

Good point about the buy out WildBill.

this basically means that oregon didn't want kelly bad enough.

buying him out for 9M can be made back with one playoff appearance in terms of revenue from the game, merch, tv money, etc.

Miami florida, who never spends money opened the bag fast to buy out diaz and mario as if they had a blank check.

kelly should have taken the deal with oregon as riley is going to rip every 5 star from the so cal area while he is left with crumbs instead of heading to oregon and keeping all the talent in the nw.

Oregon offered the job to Cal's Justin Wilcox, he turned them down, pretty surprising, especially since he's from Eugene

Very surprising, people were thinking he was going to be the next UW coach for a long time until he supposedly told them no as well. Probably enjoys the relatively low pressure environment at Cal.

It's funny, coaches complain about players lack of loyalty yet this happens all the time with coaches. So what does UCLA do now? Most of the potential HC candidates have landed another job, plus they're bound to lose recruits that thought Kelly was their coach.
