Love the use of the word "distorting" by Squarepants.

So true.

Read his contribution three times now and I agree with most everything he wrote.

One counterpoint about working and gambling.

Poker pro Brent Carter said he didn't want a job as a safety net because he wanted to keep the all-or-nothing mindset.

Too many gambless make poor decisions because new money is arriving in two weeks.

Show me a part-time gambler and I'll show you a full-time loser.

Best of Luck Sporty. Be smart. Always loved the reactions and comments from the Sportsbook patrons on game day in the sportsbooks. 98% are all losers but have met many an interesting character in those books over the years as most years I came out alone and spent a lot of time in them while there. Stay grounded. I'm just reading this thread now. Any update? I'm supposed to come out for March Madness. If so I'll send you a text and if interested lunch on me to pick your brain. I'm coming with Sherwood from Sportswagers.ca.

do the math, which life is more important

If you truly believe in an after-life, then I'd be damn worried if I were you.

You preach Jesus but your actions and thoughts don't match the message. At least with what you portray on the forums.

You got some work to do. Good luck.

Thanks for the offer. It is going to be quiet...I'm more of a listener.

I follow the john kelly motto. "Listen to many, follow no one."

No.

Los Angeles by far has the best players in world and the rake is very high.

Forget poker.
I guess I'll just become a sub from railbird and watch the money roll in. All other forms of gambling are dead.

How do I make money once college basketball ends? Become railbird's personal assistant?

We are all insignificant. We are just a flash. Here a few years and gone. 100 years is a very, very short time.

I don't really like that comment. But I understand your reference point.

Dust-to-dust. Most of us come + go w/o leaving an impact. If it's a very small% of people that impact some arena that they make it into history books, such that people will read about us long after we're gone.

Inspirational stuff, Sporty. Do u like outdoor beauty?

I like Utah as a great drive-thru state. Can stop at some national parks along the way.

April and May baseball lines are soft. Take advantage, in addition to the cold weather where unders reign supreme.

I was sort of in awe of the sights after I passed denver today. I'm in grand junction right now and driving through that landscape was pretty awesome.

Reminds me of the Iceman thread years ago in the RX forum. Was very interesting as he blogged his move much the same way from start to finish. Unfortunately, if I remember correctly, it didn't end well.

I remember reading that thread. If I remember right the grind became too much.
