I'm more curious as to why ETH doesn't ever go up, or is not a major player. So many other popular coins/tokens are on it's blockchain.

Fishhead, you’re a vet and know this. 4 year halving cycle. The largest gaining asset class for 3 years in a row and then huge dump. 2013, 2017, 2021, 2025 (26) are the dump years.
I’ll be back in end of 2026. It’s comical watching the YouTubers with their charts and reasons for BTC movement when all you need to know is the 4 year halving cycle when rewards get cut in half.

The last high, ~$124k, was October 5, 2025, almost 4 months ago. Last major % fall was with a high on Oct, 2021 of ~64k to bottom on Nov. 2022 at ~16k. Recovery just before the last halving by Mar, 2024.
Next halving expected about April. 2028 at the current rate of mining.
