Who has the best EOG team?

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

Police are looking for an Indian man who may have stabbed and strangled an American businesswoman to death in Bangkok, Thailand. The body of Wendy Albano, 51, was found on the bathroom floor of her room at the Fraser Suites Hotel in Bangkok on Monday

I am 2 hours south of Bangkok...

Thais already hate people from India and parts of the Middle East...this surely won't help....

Yeah, those are the divisions. We can redo this each year with the top three teams drafting the divs.

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

I wanted you for a challenge.

We got it easy. We both start out 6-0 before any games are played. Loser still gets the wild card.

Yeah, you take Cee instead of me and you dont open this thread again until October. Now you have to pay attention a little bit at least. :cheers

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

MC is a pretty good player. Just got bored last year and fucked up with all the deals. He won't do that again.

Definitely wont be making even half as many trades as i made last season.

I think our division is wide open. But having the 2nd overall pick def helps me as I will start the season with a very strong 4 man rotation right off the bat.

Tripp Keeper MC

Red Sox signed RHP Ross Ohlendorf to a minor league contract.

Ohlendorf arrived at Red Sox camp on Thursday morning. He has only an outside shot of making the Opening Day roster after registering an ugly 8.15 ERA and 1.94 WHIP in eight starts last season for the Pirates while fighting shoulder issues. The 29-year-old righty was released by Pittsburgh in December.

People talking about my pitching keeps

I have seen the following guys being kept

Carp- 80 years old
CJ Wilson - Same as Ubaldo or Santana
Stras - 160 innings
Pineda - Who knows
Latos - so so last year and going to worse park
Wain - Will be on innings limit
Zack - Head Case

I cant see more as cant get into league anymore:shoot:

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

cant see it. he gets price in the draft, but stras is on a innings limit, pineda wont be a stud right away in the al east, and felix still has nobody in his lineup.

im not worried about his keepers and he will trade it away anyways and go with his 2 step strategy having livan hernandez as a regular

Strasburg might be on an innings limit, but that wont affect him the first few months when i get out to a big divsion lead.

Pineda has downright filthy stuff and he should be able to survive in te AL East. He finally has run support. Wont have to worry the game is over if he goes down 1-0 in the first.

Felix is still a top 5 arm and the M's will score more runs. Montero alone will provide more run support.

Then I get to add Darvish, Price, or Gallardo to that staff.

You're right, I'd rather have Baldo and Ervin Santana over bums like Greinke and Wain.

Tripp I'd maybe trade you Verly for Price and CC or something like that.

Price is the easy #1 pick. Darvish or Gallardo over him would be fun.

Ubaldo higher 3 year avg points than Zack

Ervin healthy and Wain off a year out and innings count.

Glad you see it my way

This can't be right. Greinke destroyed him last year, despite missing 5 weeks, and he killed him 3 years ago. Ubaldo beat him 2 years go, but not by as much as Greinke has whooped him 3 years ago and last year.

Wain already 90% and already throwing to hitters. On schedule to be on a normal schedule come spring. Besides, I just need him to have a couple good starts in a row and I'll move him to Gamer for whoever I want.

Agree they all have very good stuff and potential for really nice years, but none are sure things outside of Felix, and even he i wouldnt take for any of my 3 sp keepers because of his lineup. Division got even tougher this year also with all the additions Anaheim made, Texas got potentially an ace, and Oakland might have landed a stud in the cuban.

You have a pretty good group of keepers which is why you went later in the division drafting, but id rather face young unproven (fantasy wise) guys over facing the CC's of the world that have proven to be studs year after year.

If i cant make the playoffs with Doc, Dream weav, and CC, playing in a division with gamer and viejo i should consider retirement

Re: Who has the best EOG team?

I didn't know TN worked for CBS.

Bust...Matt Thornton, RP
Thornton got the first crack at the closer's job last season, but after blowing each of his first four save oppotunities, he was demoted to a set-up role. He recovered well enough to post a 2.95 ERA from April 18 on, and that has positioned Thornton as the likely frontrunner to succeed Santos in the ninth-inning role. Despite the respectable ERA there is no shortage of warning signs for another implosion. For the second season in a row, Thornton's control eroded as he threw fewer strikes and issued more walks per nine innings. When opposing hitters have gotten ahold of one of his offerings they have increasingly been able to hit him ... hard. Thornton's line drive rate ballooned to 24 percent, which contributed to a 64-point increase in opponents' batting average against him. Thornton still gets his fair share of strikeouts, but his trends are all running in the wrong direction, making him a risk to count on for saves this season.
