Why are Dodgers -195 tomorrow?

dodger hitters need to scoot up in box before splitter dips, thats why pete rose and tony gwynn hit .350, they made that adjustment to trash throwers

With a few exceptions, most of the hitters today not capable of adjustments. Go up there, close your eyes and swing as hard as you can. It's ok if you swing and miss a lot, just so you can hit a 100 mph foul ball makes it all ok. That's what they've been conditioned to do.

Who knew Justin Dean would play a pivotal role in the Series by not touching the ball lodged underneath the outfield padding?

Don’t believe the ball was lodged but it was a smart play by Dean. Saved a run for sure. If the Dodgers had hit that ball would the umpire have ruled it was lodged??

He Remembered the Stadium Ground Rules.

Who Can Ever Remember, a Player's Knowledge , of a Stadium's Ground Rules , Possibly Saving His Team the World Series.

Maybe Has Never Happened.

After Dean put his hands up (after seeing Kiki’s hands up) he picked up the ball & threw it in. The ball may have stopped moving but it was not lodged…..

I thought Glasnow was scheduled to pitch. Ohtani on 3 days rest?

I would have saved Ohtani for a high leverage situation late, bring him in on defense to save his bat.

heard something about the dh rule making it not possible to come in relief if he was in the game ...

Way back when Alvin Dark was managing the Indians he once moved lefty pitcher Sam McDowell to second base so he could bring in a right reliever for one batter and move Sam back to the mound.

trivial tidbit McDonald's made the next put out at second on a grounder to short ... first and last I've seen that from a southpaw.

of course no dh then ...

@ TalkinBaseball:

There have only been two Game 7s in the last eight World SeriesWhen Max Scherzer takes the mound, he will have been a starting pitcher in both of them

He can come in and relief and the DH spot is vacated. The way I look at it, Ohtani, pitcher and player are two different people.

seen the ''lodged ball'' called in the Wrigley ivy and this type of lodging below numerous times, just never for a ball on the ground, with almost all ruled inside the park homers.

whatever ...

Incredible managing by Roberts, he puts Rojas in the SL and the guy saves the game with his bat and glove, then inserts Pages in center and he makes a great catch to save the game, dude pushes all the right buttons

I just didn't think bunting Vlady over to third was the right move. Dodgers basically intentionally walked the next guy setting up a DPlay with ultra slow Kirk with a big GB pitcher. They gave up a out when they didn't need to for a tie, not a win.

It depended on who was up, with IKF they really didn't have a choice, the guy can't hit but is a great bunter. Had Bichette stayed in the game of course no way he's bunting

And more credit to Roberts for intentionally/unintentionally walking Barger, on paper it made sense to set up the double play, but he's also putting the winning run on base for a good hitter in Kirk

With a Guy on second , I've never been a fan of giving up an out to get the Guy over to 3rd.
