Why are Dodgers -195 tomorrow?

I just didn't think bunting Vlady over to third was the right move. Dodgers basically intentionally walked the next guy setting up a DPlay with ultra slow Kirk with a big GB pitcher. They gave up a out when they didn't need to for a tie, not a win.
should have bunted again

And more credit to Roberts for intentionally/unintentionally walking Barger, on paper it made sense to set up the double play, but he's also putting the winning run on base for a good hitter in Kirk
i dont think that was roberts, what roberts did do right was bring in yamamoto on no days rest and sub in pages for defense to make the catch in left center

Congratulations to the bums they wanted it more, turning point when wrobleski beaned and aggressively trash talked Gimenez somebody needed to go out and smash him when they had the chance ...

HE HAD A HORRENDOUS SECONDARY LEAD, A DECENT EUNNER MAKES IT. PART 2, DONT SLIDE INTO HOME ON A FORCE OUT, RUN THREW THE DISH LIKE A SPRINTER

Didn't you read his response. He was instructed to stay close to the base so he doesn't get doubled up with a line drive to third.

It wasn't his fault but the brain dead manager who should have known in all of Varsho's plate appearances, he's only lined out to third one time.

Based on where the third baseman was standing he easily could have extended the lead two or three steps and gotten back in time; absolutely no excuse for sliding into home on a force play - a thing the Dodgers did in another inning that game as well which is just mind-boggling for two World Series teams ...

idiotic, then his only mistake was sliding then. when your the tying run on 3rd get a big lead.

Idiot third base coach pointed to the spot one yard away from the bag and IKF stayed glued to there ... you could have easily taken a secondary lead of 10-15 ft and still gotten back no problem, Muncy wasn't guarding the base ... just dumb sequence costing them the game...

yes thanks for pointing that out, i see 3rd basecoach is a quota hire island rat. thats the city of toronto for you

if your the championship run you get a bigger secondary lead, if a 1pct chance of a liner to 3rd base happens then thats the way it goes, lineout anywhere else you can still get back

Wait a minute – you’re down by a run in the ninth inning of the seventh game of the World Series, and you need to find some motivation?!?

Dodgers pitcher says trash talk by Blue Jays' Jeff Hoffman sparked late home run

This is total nonsense, nothing Hoffman said sparked the Rojas HR, a hanging slider sparked the HR. Rojas was asked after the game about the HR, he said he was looking for a slider, he got it and hit it out, something that happens in baseball literally every game. Hitters are constantly guessing at the plate, when they guess right they hit the ball hard, when they guess wrong they look foolish. How many times do you see a hitter swing at a pitch a foot outside and miss it by two feet, and watching it you say to yourself, "Why did he swing at that? The answer is he was guessing fastball, got the sweeper instead and chased. How many times have you seen a hitter take a fastball right down the middle for strike three, and you said to yourself, "Why would he take that pitch down the middle to strike out looking"? The answer is he was guessing, expecting a breaking ball, by the time he realized it was a fastball, he couldn't pull the trigger. This happens many times during a game, hitters wildly swinging at bad pitches and taking pitches right down the middle of the plate. Rojas was looking for a slider and he got it, so he was ready and hit it hard, had he been guessing fastball, either he takes the pitch or swings late hoping to foul it off. I can assure you there's nothing Hoffman said that had anything to do with the Rojas HR, but it makes for a good story I guess.

And another thing, Hoffman allowed 15 HR's during the season, which was the second most in MLB for relief pitchers, not exactly a surprise he gave one up in the ninth since he's been doing it all year

During the scrum the Blue Jays radio announcers mentioned Hoffman as being the most animated of the Blue Jays so for whatever reason I believe the Dodgers were ready for something to happen in the 9th inning. Rojas couldn't hit a home run to save his life cracks one out ...

Following the Skirmish the Blue Jays were only able to score one more run against relievers they had decent results off off in the other games.

With all due respect, I'll side with the opinion of a roster member from the locker room over the EOG armchair crew ...

Okay, Rojas was thinking about what Hoffman said while batting in the ninth inning and that's why he homered, LMAO

He homered because he was looking for a slider, got it, and put a good swing on it, but believe whatever nonsense you want

Here's the most logical sentence in the article:
While it would be a stretch to suggest the incident decided the game

Yep, Klein was delusional in mentioning the extra
motivation to a Toronto Sun reporter ...

The Dodgers, however, claimed after the fact that they didn’t forget the role of Hoffman in the proceedings as the Jays closer certainly was one of the more animated Toronto players.

Which brings us to Dodgers pitcher Will Klein’s recollection of the festivities.

Klein alleges that one of the players Hoffman was chirping at was Miguel Rojas and that the generally light-hitting Dodgers infielder remembered the incident when he went to the plate in the ninth.

Fired up, according to Klein, Rojas deposited a Hoffman mistake over the wall in left field to tie the game and eventually send it to extra innings.

moving on ...

This is why he homered, he was looking for the slider, and he got one that hung from a pitcher who gave up the second most home runs in MLB among relievers
The count was 3-2, he wasn't looking slider. You can look for pitches with 0 and 1 strike. When you have 2 strikes you have to look fastball and adjust to the breaking ball. If it's a hanging breaking ball, you will still kill it.

, he wasn't looking slider.
Yes, Miguel Rojas stated in a post-game interview that he was looking for a slider on the game-tying home run he hit in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series.
He mentioned that after fouling off a couple of fastballs, the pitcher, Jeff Hoffman, threw a slider "right in my zone where I do damage". His general mentality in that at-bat, batting ninth ahead of Shohei Ohtani, was to get on base, but he was specifically ready for that pitch in that location.

Show the actual quote. You will never get around on a 97 MPH fastball if you aren't ready fastball. With 0 and 1 strike you can sit there and wait breaking and then lay off the fastball.

“I just wanted to stay up the middle, try to hit a fastball. I definitely chased on the first one. I tried to lock it in and be on the fastball after that, let the ball travel a little bit more. … When he hung me the slider, I just put a good swing on it,” he said, according to The Athletic.
