Wow. I saw the tape and didn't even think about the fact he took a kid (his?) onto the field as a possible way to avoid the boos. I may end up turning on him too. Where have all our sports "heroes" gone?

Anyone catch the ESPN pregame interview with LaRussa? During the press conference the ESPN reporter asked him what the crowd's response to McGwire is likely to be like. LaRussa had a cow and got pissed and actually broke a bat as a result. Good theater.
