Tough scheduling for the Storm this week.

Three games in four nights.

At Minnesota tonight, at Atlanta Friday night and at Chicago Saturday night.

Opponents will be well-rested and waiting for Seattle to arrive in town.

What's more, the Storm will play seven of the next eight games on the road.

The Storm started miserably.

Four-of-16 from the field in the first quarter with five turnovers.

Minny led 22-9 after one quarter.

Courtney Paris made her season debut for the Storm tonight.

Courtney is listed at 6'4" and 250 pounds.

Where does she get her size?

Dad was "Bubba" Paris, the former star defensive end for the San Francisco 49ers.

Will do.

I promise to keep my MAGA hat in the car if I get a chance to meet Ann.

(Full disclosure: I don't own a MAGA hat.)

It's called writer's embellishment.

Minnesota's Seimone Augustus is out indefinitely with right knee soreness.

Augustus married in 2015 and divorced in 2018.

Minny built a double-digit lead early in the game and kept that working margin the rest of the way.

Seattle no-showed.

Score: Minnesota 59 Seattle 39 with 2:30 left in the third quarter.

Final score: Minnesota 72 Seattle 61.

Liz Cambage is listed 6-8, only one inch shorter than Phoenix's Brittney Griner.

Griner is more athletic than Cambage but Cambage plays a smarter game.

I wonder if Cambage will play Friday night in Phoenix.

The long, flowing hair has been replaced by a bun.

Logo appears to be Lisa Leslie or Candace Parker going with their off hand.

Lynx are intriguing this year. Fresh faces and everyone us contributing with all their injuries. Can't ever sleep on this team. Incredible home record JK...would be interesting to compare with the next best home records. I imagine Phoenix would be in top 3 and then either Seattle or Conn?

Good lesson for other sports regarding smart head coaches.

Reeve, who cut her teeth as an assistant under Bill Laimbeer, isn't perfect but she's a lot better than the average or below-average coaches in the WNBA.

I like crafty coaches when they're either without their superstar player (Maya Moore) or when they're teaching young players new to the league.

She is terrible in traffic

That's my problem in pick-up basketball.

I'm okay in a one-on-one game or even two-on-two, but I'm a bit skittish about getting blindsided by someone and possibly blowing out an Achilles.

Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur blew out his Achilles playing pick-up basketball earlier this week.

Transition to water polo, no ankles or knee issues, where ear pads.
