WNBA thread

2nd game in a row Caitlin really cost her team with dreadful shooting. I still think they are as good as anyone come playoff time if CC is in the lineup. But not if she's chucking bricks like the last couple.

I had to check if Sides as back coaching the Fever today.

Zero set plays. Just let clark dribble dribble dribble run the high pick and roll with Boston.

Clark is a very lazy ball handler. Very weak handles and she has some bad turnovers today.

Then when her shot isn't falling she doesn't try to get into the lane. Nope
Just shoots deeper 3s hoping one falls

If someone broke down her shooting percentage when off balance I would guess it is below 30%. When her feet gets set it's a different story but she shoots off the dribble and drifts so much she can't be accurate.

I think the team to watch is Phoenix. Thomas adds muscle and a point forward and Cooper is slowing getting back to her all star self.

They will be a tough out come the playoffs

Agree with Sporty's opinion of Phoenix.

Seattle is better, too.

Great experience and sticky defenders.

I don't trust the Fever.

They're only as good as they shoot.

And come playoff time, Caitlin will run into defenders who will not give her an inch.

Think Cloud and Diggins and Copper.

I will take Chicago/Atlanta over 159 1/2. Chicago in the 2nd of a B2B. I think they will struggle on the defensive end.

This did come in, and I missed out on the Chicago side. Here's an interesting WNBA stat: since start of the 2018 season, teams in the second of a back to back are 42-23-2 ATS.

Tuesday: Indiana/Seattle Over 165 1/2 (MGM)

Fever will be better when Bonner back.

Great atmosphere Sunday Fever/Aces game.............sat behind Clarks and Lexie Hulls parents, and Lexie's twin sister.
The admiration for CC off the charts.

Fever much the same team as last year in terms of ability, and will be a 7th or 8th seed and bounced out in first round.

Bonner is shot.

She's 37 going on 47.

That narrow frame of hers has a lot of miles on it.
True. She can be enforcer #2 behind Cunningham. Bonner has the look of someone you don't want to meet when the street lights come on.

While I think Fishhead is way off on his first round exit for the Fever I think their mentality of trying to outscore everyone is very flawed. A half-court game isn't what the Fever want any part of as their offense becomes a high pick and roll with Clark and Boston and hope for a hot jump shooter.

Just saw from frontofficenews, FWIW:

DeWanna Bonner’s days with the Indiana Fever could be coming to an end.

According to multiple league sources, the two-time WNBA champion has no interest in returning to play for the Fever. Those same sources indicated Bonner’s preferred landing spots are with the Phoenix Mercury or the Atlanta Dream.

Why??
Top teams way better.

Fever toast without some type of move …….

Clark now 1-23 her last 23 three-point attempts.

If this was Angel Reece it would be all over social media.

But clark ...... crickets.

She has been so ungodly awful with her shot selection. Deep threes while falling away from the defender. He is allergic to drive and pull up 15 foot jumper.

But Boston was amazing last night along with Mitchell to carry the load

I won't say a geared down winner with the rider looking back, but let's just say minimal whipping needed. And like Sports mentioned above, that was with Clark tossing bricks.

Today: Connecticut/Las Vegas under 160 1/2. My projection is 156 so an under here for me.

Good call. I actually played it with you but took 166-. Easy winner.

Watching the game you see you are well on pace but it is still a sweat.

On OVERS I keep looking at the clock and expecting one of these 5 minute stretches where no one scores, LOL.

It was easy with the score but I was actually sweating in the 4th quarter.

Following today's play as well, let's get it.

Kamilla Cardoso scores a career high 31 last night and now says she is going to play for Brazil in the FIBA games.

There is more to this.

She is pissed the team keeps focusing the offense on Angel Reese instead of her.

She will be gone for the next four Sky games

Lol at Bonner quiting the Fever.

They're going to miss her 7 points and 2 rebounds.

Here's one of the league's all time leading scorers acting like Antonio Brown.

Girl couldn't handle her bench demotion.
