Brock Lesnar (-165) over Frank Mir You really could go either way here. However, Zuffa has had so many disappointing debuts that have not lived up to expectations (CroCop, Big Nog, who should have lost to Herring, Shogun, etc), they are bound to have one go their way. Mir is a good bet here as well, but UFC did not bring in Lesnar and hype him up to lose here. UFC knows Brock is their ticket to getting a crossover audience from pro wrestling. Mir is better submission guy, Lesnar the better wrestler, Mir has the more diverse standup and Lesnar is stronger and has more power. Could go either way, but I think Brock will come through here. Tim Sylvia (+140) over Antonio Rodrigo Noguiera I love Big Nog, but this is not a great matchup for him. He will not be able to take Sylvia down. We saw that Heath Herring damn near had Nog beat. Sylvia can knock him out here. Nate Marquardt (-300) over Jeremy Horn I think Horn is washed up. Gleison Tibau (+300) over Tyson Griffin Good value here. All of Griffin's fights are close. Griffin is closely associated with Couture's camp and a decision could always go against him b/c of that. David Heath (-250) over Tim Boetsch Boetsch has beaten no one of note and Heath is eager to rebound from being destroyed by Babalu. Terry Martin (-230) over Marvin Eastman Probably the safest bet of the night here. Keita Nakamura (-300) over Rob Emerson Emerson stinks and has little skill. Nak by submission. GL HD |
