This is very important match for both teams, Germany and Italy, if not the most important one on the tournament. The winner of this match will go to the quarter finals and the beaten one will pack their bags and go home. Although the winner of the match will play against host nation and the biggest candidate for the title, Spain, both team are keen to win this match and to stay still in Spain.

Italy played well on the tournament and I really like their basketball with a lot of penetration in the paint and leaded by Bulleri, player with great vision, Italy are playing pretty good basketball. The main reason that they are not already qualified is that the luck had turned the back on them in few matches. They definitely deserved to be among the top 8 teams in Europe.

What to say about Germany and their team. They are not team, they are one man show. I really feel sorry for Nowitzki, he gives all he has in order to go as further is possible on this tournament, but his teammates are just a bunch of amateurs. I think that if Nowitzki is not in this team, the other players will fight to stay in division A.

Italy knows that only Nowitzki is the only threat that they have to handle and I am aware that they will know how to do that. Germany so far managed to beat only not disciplined Turkey and weak Czech Republic. They lost from all other serious teams, because they know how to handle the Nowitzki threat. I rate Italy in the serious teams and I believe that Carlo Recalcati is experience enough and know how to set his defense against one world class and four below average players.
