The former Champ Car champion says he plans to pursue other racing options, claiming Gerald Forsythe has not met the terms of their contract.
"My lawyer feels I am free to go look at other opportunities that are out there for me," Tracy tells the Indianapolis Star. "Jerry has left me no option on this." Tracy still has four years left on a five year deal with Forsythe, which prevents him from competing in any other open-wheel series. Tracy would not go into details except to say that his lawyer recently sent a letter to Forsythe detailing the contract violations and stating their intention to move on. He says he hasn't spoken to the team owner since December 17. At the end of February, Forsythe announced he would be ceasing his Champ Car operations following the Long Beach Grand Prix. Tracy has stated his preference for racing in the IndyCar Series and its believed he has an opportunity to race with Tony George's Vision Racing team. However, his preference is to race with one of the top teams - Andretti/Green, Penske or Ganassi. TSN : AUTO*RACING - Canada's Sports Leader |

PT needs to take the ride with Vision. Penske and Ganassi have nothing for him. AGR would do a one-ride deal at Indy. I think Vision is his best bet. He already has a sponsor with Monster Energy drink.
