There has been alot of controversy throughout the weekend reguarding the tires and how hard they are. There is alot of top teams, that havnt hit on the setup. There will be atleast 8 pit stops because of the 13 gallon fuel cell, so pit strategy will play a big role as well as a solid pit crew that can get the changes done all day long. Alot of the books seem to be relying on qualifying times but those are a little under valued because for one, its only 2 laps and two the guys who ran at the end of the qualifying session have a 2-3 tenths advantage as the sun was fully cloud covered making for a colder track and better overal grip. A good qualifying run will get you a good pit stall.
Outright win pick -- Clint Bowyer +2500 bodog.com -- 1 UNIT PLAY Clint bowyer was tops in final practice and practice 2 on saturday. He is being offered at thegreek.com at +1525, +2500 at bodog.com, and 18-19:1 everywhere else. +2500 for a driver who has been getting hotter and hotter lately (6 top tens in last 7 races), and who is tops in both final practices is a good deal. Matchup #1 -- Jeff Burton +100(pick) Tony Stewart -125 thegreek.com -- 5 UNIT PLAY Jeff burton won the busch series race, qualified 5th (good pit selection), 3rd in final practice, and 11th in practice 2. All the rcr cars look really strong this week, Burton and Bowyer both have rocket ships. Burtons teammates at rcr were 1st and 14th in final practice. Tony stewart has complained alot about the tires, and he sounds a little frustrated. 27th in final practice, 31st in practice 2, 3rd in the busch race in a RCR car, and qualified 25th (bad pit selection). His teammates Denny Hamlin and JJ Yeley were 12th and 18th in final practice. Matchup #2 -- Elliott Sadler -125(pick) Scott Riggs +100 thegreek.com -- 2 UNIT PLAY Elliot Sadler was 8th in final practice, 6th in practice 2, and 3rd in qualifying(good pit selection). Scott Riggs was 29th in final practice, 20th in practice 2 and qualified 6th(good pit selection). Nascapper |

Good luck on your plays Nascapper! You got a good value in Bowyer.
I believe the fuel cells are 17 gallons for all races that started this year. Last year the fuel cells were 22 gallons except for the 13 gallon fuel cells on the restrictor plate tracks. Still plenty of pit stops for this race anyway. |

Welcome and thanks for sharing with us.
The fuel cells were reduced in size for this race because of track changes as you have mentioned, Reno. |
