Tires are gunna wear out about the same time cars are going to need fuel. Expecting some long green flag runs
so this week we are looking at cars that can get it done over a long race run. Average practice times as well as some quotes from some of the drivers during practice is what we are basing are picks on this week. Some of the bigger names are having trouble with the setup including dale jr, jeff gordon and kevin harvick so we're looking for some value against those drivers. Lets start with the outrights. Outright to win Kasey Kahne +802 pinnaclesports.com -- 1 UNIT Mark Martin +1606 pinnaclesports.com -- .5 UNIT Carl Edwards +1606 pinnaclesports.com -- .5 UNIT Greg Biffle +1200 intertops.com -- .5 UNIT Kurt Busch +3000 sportsbook.com or linesmaker.com -- .5 UNIT Kahne: Qualified: 12th Happy Hour: 16th Happy Hour Avg (approx)3-5th Last years finish: 1st Won here from the pole last year. Martin: Qualified: 4th Happy Hour: 8th Happy Hour AVG (approx): 9th Last years finish: 2nd Tv interview on speed he said he has a real fast car after about 10 laps. Carl Edwards: Qualified: 14th Happy Hour: 2nd Happy Hour AVG (approx): 1st Last years finish: 40th (incident) Has won here in the past, always fast at atlanta. Greg Biffle: Qualified: 25th Happy Hour: 5th Happy Hour AVG (approx): 2nd Last years finish: 16th Led the most laps of last years race with 128 laps led. Kurt Busch: Qualified: 17th Happy Hour: 1st Happy Hour AVG (approx): 3rd Last years finish: 37th Led 22 laps last year. Race Matchups Sportsbook.com David Stremme -135 -- pick 3 UNITS Reed Sorenson +105 Sorrenson was very happy with his car over the long run, he said he did a 20 lap run and was roughly 10th on the charts. Clint Bowyer +130 -- pick 2 UNITS Dale Earnhardt jr -160 Bowyer is gunna be good in the long run according to his avg practice times from happy hour, dale jr hadnt hit on the setup yet when happy hour finished, he was still lifting in and out of the gas getting tight in corners 1 and 2. Carl Edwards -155 -- pick 3 UNITS Kevin Harvick +125 Harvick has been brutal in practice, Edwards is one of the fastest cars there. Intertops.com Matt Kenseth -125 -- pick 2 UNITS Dale Earnhardt jr -105 Kenseth made some good race runs and the practice sheets show hes got a considerably better car then junior. thegreek.com Matt Kenseth -135 -- pick 2 UNITS Jeff Gordon +110 Gordon was complaining about a tight condition at the end of happy hour, didnt sound too happy about his car. |
