Boston will not win 70 games this year. While they're still undefeated the level of competition they've been facing is no where near the elite status of teams such as your Spurs, Mavs, Suns, Rockets, Jazz, Pistons etc....

So far they've played New Jersey twice, Indiana, Washington, Denver, Toronto and Atlanta. Of those teams one of them is a Western Conference team who isn't playing near their potential yet. Indiana, Washington and Atlanta are all below .500 while Toronto is a .500 ball club. Those teams combined record is 22-25. You see where I'm getting at?

Also the big three are being played way too much, Doc Rivers really needs to monitor their minutes or they're going to burn out and I guarantee they won't finish the season strong. They just aren't deep enough outside of the big three. If he's able to monitor their minutes, I think they can win the Eastern Conference, but if his aim is just to buff up their regular season record by thrashing Allen,KG and Pierce then they will lose in the post season to a rested, deeper and fitter team.

I personally am happy to see Boston doing well, Boston needs it, the NBA is better off when they're doing well since they're one of the major franchises in the NBA and the Lakers and Knicks just suck!

They played tough last night but their inexperience against a team like Detroit hurt them. Though those two three pointers at the end to tie it were clutch. They have been cashing pretty well even with last nights L, I think that will continue against most of the weaker foes in the East. Big trip out west after xmas, 4 games. Should be a good test.
