i was going to take boston -8, la + 1 , houston + 8.5.... would it make sense to tease all three and get these lines : boston - .5, la + 9, and houston + 16.5 ? with those three lines i feel even more comfortable although all three have to happen to win obviously. if i take that should i wager my normal 1 unit per game x 3 on the tease? or should i say the hell with it and take my daily amount i can wager (as i always do) and place it on my one game best bet. i dont know why i'm considering going against my money management and personal play beliefs, but because i hit this once this week to try it....i'm finding myself going back to it. can someone either talk me out of it or give me a reason why this type of bet can be ok? the tease thing is new territory for me so i was hoping for some expert opinions.thank you guys. |

I'm not the smartest guy in the world but why would you ever increase your chances to lose by using a teaser? That picture in your avatar looks like that guy mofome. |

like lets say i like the lakers +1 and the celtics - 8.5.... if i tease the two say. i could get the lakers +6 and the celtics - 3.5 , which would be more favorable to me than the current lines. i wouldnt place the wagers on the tease lines indivdually if i didnt like them. i would just pass.... the pics is actually me,haha. i wouldnt be putting pictures of other dudes in my avatar, not that there is anything wrong with that.haha | |

It's like having sex with three different girls, all without condoms, the chances of something going wrong is multiplied by three. If y ou took both those games straight you would have lost vig yesterday instead you lost plus inflated vig. That is about the most intellegient thing I have said or ever will say in the future. Now back to squirrel nuts and miniature golfing. |

Here's my take on teasers. If a bettor is having thoughts on moving the line on a particular team because it looks more attractive, you are better off taking the other team and leaving the points alone. I don't have stats to back up my claim; nevertheless, it seems to me that your chances of hitting a three team teaser are less than 35%. From a personal standpoint, I played 7 three team teasers (10 point moves) this past year in the NFL. I hit two of the seven for an astounding 28.5%. |

You can apply this same logic in basketball when attempting to play the money line on a particular team. Case in point with two examples: Washington State was at Arizona State and was a five to six point favorite. I risked $260 to win $100. WSU won the game by one point nearly giving me a stroke. Bet another one of those can't miss games on Auburn at Mississippi with Ole Miss a 8 point favorite and the ML was -390 and Auburn won the damn game straight up. In both cases, I could have gone the other way and won on the other side. Take it for what it's worth. Later |
