Hell, Miami scored 28 on 'em last time! But no Trent Green this time! It'll be a very easy cover on 20.5! You know they'll have it over 21!! O/U probably about 52! And THAT will be the easy cover! B/C I'm quite certain New England will put up 49-56 on their own! |

How the hell does destroying the '07 Dolphins "prove" anything regarding the '72 unbeaten team? By that logic, maybe Miami in '72 proved it was superior to New England '07 by destroying the Pats 52-0. That was the score in '72. I attended the game and still have a memory that makes me chuckle. Our season tickets were in an area where the fans of the opposing team always sat. By far my favorite group every year were the Pats fans. They were always young and rowdy, generally college age guys who went shirtless at the Orange Bowl to improve their tan. Other teams had stuffy fans wearing proper attire. Anyway, in '72 it was an obvious rout. The young Pats fans were betting how long it would take the Dolphins to score. One by one they shouted a time frame. "I'll take 5:27." "Are you out of your mind? Give me 3:28." "What's the low on this? I want to be below everyone." "OK genius. I'll take 4 seconds. That means you have 3 or less." It went on like that for several minutes. My parents and I were busting up. Turned out Miami scored early and often and the Pats fans started booking the time frame for each additional score.  |
