Cool Randy Moss - Pass The "J"

AROUND THE NFL
Raiders' Moss Says He Has Used Marijuana

From Associated Press

Oakland Raider receiver Randy Moss acknowledges that he has used marijuana since entering the NFL seven years ago and still uses it "every blue moon."

"I have used, you know, marijuana … since I've been in the league," Moss said in an interview for HBO's "Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel" scheduled to air Tuesday night. "But as far as abusing it and, you know, letting it take control over me, I don't do that, no."

When pressed whether he still uses marijuana, Moss said: "I might. I might have fun. And, you know, hopefully I won't get into any trouble by the NFL by saying that, you know. I have had fun throughout my years and, you know, predominantly in the offseason.

"But, you know, I don't want any kids, you know, watching this taking a lesson from me as far as 'Well, Randy Moss used it, so I'm going to use it.' I don't want that to get across.

"Like I say … I have used [marijuana] in the past. And every blue moon or every once in a while I might."

Moss addressed the interview Thursday night after practice in Houston, saying his statements were about the past. He didn't answer questions.

"A lot of people are jumping to conclusions because they really don't know the real story or haven't even heard the real story yet," he said.

"That was really me talking in the past tense of way back in the beginning of my career and my childhood — especially in high school and college."

Moss has never been suspended for violating the league's drug policy, and NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said it is confidential whether the receiver is in the drug program or not.

He is an idiot for saying that. But we all know that many athletes smoke week in every sport especially NBA.

If Moss smokes weed and still puts up solid numbers.. then i have no problem with that.

No doubt, but Owens' antics this week have actually made me think Moss might not be so bad after all ...

Moss and Owens are in the same category. Both complete idiots with athletic ability. They would never make it in the real world without their NFL money and should be kissing the feet of the NFL for giving them the opportunity to participate.

I honestly feel that the claims of Randy Moss "Quitting on plays" was blown far out of proportion. He simply said that to piss the media off and let them know he'll do what he wants to do, not necessarily saying it with "meaning". People only tend to remember that one specific game in which Moss left the sidelines early. Fact is, he may be a goof, but he's a competitor that loves to win. I wouldn't compare him to T.O. in any such ways. With T.O., it's ALL about himself.........

lol........I defintely watch homedog.............People just made it sound as if he quits on every other play, which is ridiculous because they base that on one or 2 minor incidents that merely happened because he is such a fierce competitor and tired of Culpepper losing games for the Vikes.......

I agree that he is a heck of an athlete and a competitor but he does quit more than the two "minor" incidents. He takes plays off consistently. Unless he is getting the ball, he is a spectator.
