I think the Rams are the best play on the board. Until Delhomme proves he is back to form I can't see taking the Panthers on the road. Especially with the line at a PK/-1. The Rams offense is going to be High powered again and I don't see the Panthers being able to score with them.

Nice to see a posting like this Dirty - I guess I was asking in the wrong room (Gambling discussion). For survivor (win outright, no spread) I like Denver against Buffalo. Buffalo has looked awful on defence. I am wary of the home team for the first week. The other survival pick here would be Seattle over TB in Seattle. As for the spread, I like KC and San Fran.

i think bulger is going to play flat after getting $65 m i dont see him as the go to QB car is still one of the better teams in the NFC, and they need to come out of the gate fast and strong... just win.

Bulger will be motivated. This rams team has got the chance to be good. Carolina is going to be good only if Delhomme transforms back into the QB he was, not a walking Turnover. He has played bad in Preseason and I wouldn't be surprised to see Carr in the lineup after 2-3 weeks if he does not improve.

| This is the most difficult opening day card I have ever seen. I have a few ideas but I suspect I will not be playing many games this first NFL week. There are a couple I KNOW I'll be getting down on. Here's the problem. I'm in 2 contests here on EOG, 1 college, 1 NFL. Am I supposed to expose where I might be going with my plays to people on this board who are playing against me? This would also go for college. I'd like to get some thoughts from the mods on this. | Raiders (-1) over Detroit, because of their defense IMO. Lions are God-awful. Plus....I bet my wife $100 on it! If I lose....she'll be holding her hand out at 7:05 for the $$$. If I win, I'll never see it. |

I feel much the same way. There is only one game I really like and that's from seeing Hasselbeck in pre-season, looking in good form. Laying 6 rather than 7 also makes this a play for me. I don't think Tampa Bay can keep up with the Mariners who I expect to win by at least 7.

Got a feeling that Steelers overwhelm Browns. Frye doesn't inspire the leadership a team needs from qb. Unless Lewis turns back the clock 3 years and Ben hasn't bough into the new Tomlin system it should be a Steeler double digit victory.

Saints, Houston, and Washington are those that I have had the least doubts about. Think the Colts lost too much defensively to rout the Saints. Should be a close back and forth type of game that Saints may even win SU. KC is a fade right now and Houston probably a bit underrated. Preseason doesnt mean much, but Houston was the top scoring team and KC the lowest scoring team. Just dont think that KC has their offense in synch yet, with LT, QB, and RB all missing much of preseason. Washington knows they need to start fast this year and have been emphasing it alot in the offseason. Miami has a good D, but offense leaves alot to be desired. Skins are an underrated team and should be able to take the home opener.
