I didn't post much last season, however had a pretty solid season...someothing to the tunes of 38-20-2 (+33 units). There's a couple of things i've done well with, specifically early season unders and quarters (first quarter) wagers. I find that linesmakers do not adjust lines very well that reflect true Canadian weather....especially come October/November time. Gl | |

Last night 1-2 (-$35). A small price to pay for confirmation of what to expect from the Ti-Cats again this season. They are a bad, bad, bad football team! Adding a larger play... Edmonton -8 ($220 to win $200). I can see a bigtime route in this game, and early! GL

Another thing i'm going to track early on is the number of safeties committed by teams. There was a rule change implemented to reduce the number of safety knees taken by teams, that the team who does so will have to kickoff from the 25 instead of the 35. Last year, if you had the ball at or inside the 12-15 yard line, it was so common for the team to just take a knee on the punt. We'll see if this rule change results in more teams deciding to hoof it away from around or just inside the goalline. The lines for a safety usually are around the +200 area, and again come October/November when the conditions get nasty, these come in more often than one would think.

YTD 4-5 (-$275) Very tough to win any type of under play when there's as many turnovers as last night. Good win for the Riders nonetheless and a great game. Will be stronger come week 2. Cho

WOW is all i can say of the Edmonton Wildcats I really hope Edmonton is not confused as to why their offense is so awful 2 games in. Does the OC think they're allowed more than 3 downs? 90% of their run plays are a waste, let alone to a schmuck who when is near the ball only bad things happen. I think i will either lay off Edmonton games in the next couple weeks, or just play the under...no reason to think this offense has any big play capabilities thus far, which is pathetic considering the league. 0-3 (-330) for the day....

Ok, so after 2 weeks of CFL we have witnessed some pretty crazy games and pretty crazy high scoring affairs. While the CFL is a pass and 'put up points' type of league, i wonder how long or if games will continue to hit 60 and 70 points on a more than rare occasion. I've decided to make a play on every single game for the next while until teams prove otherwise. This play is going to be the first quarter total OVER 10-11. I put 10-11 because this is where the line has been for each of the 8 first quarter totals, and only ONCE (0-0 in the Winnipeg/Edmonton slop fest) has this total fallen short. First 8 games of season and total first quarter points: Toronto/Hamilton: 20 Montreal/Calgary: 17 Winnipeg/Edmonton: 0 BC/Saskatchewan: 18 Edmonton/Montreal: 11 Calgary/Winnipeg: 13 Hamilton/BC: 17 Saskatchean/Toronto: 20 The CFL is designed for points. Teams need only a couple minutes to go the length of the field. Small things work in the favour of the person who would take the over in a spot like this...i.e, 7-3 and a FG attempt goes wide and a single point is rewarded for a 7-4. Big plays, big plays, and more big plays whether on offense, defense or special teams. Anyway, today i'm playing BC/Edmonton OVER 10.0 First Quarter points.....110 to win 100. GL

6-10 (-$585) Of course the 1q is the only one that doesn't exceed 10 points last night between BC/Eskimos. We'll try again tonight. Toronto/Calgary OVER 10.0 1q ($110 to win $100). GL
