They might, and I think at the very least they are all in the top 5. Dodgers, and Phillies would round out my top 5, but I would have hard time putting either ahead of the Sox/Yanks/Rays right now. Feel bad for the Jays. They would win most divisions in baseball, but in the AL East they are a 4th place team.

Their pitching is also pretty good, but not spectacular by any stretch. Bills is a true ace, then Kershaw is always up and down, but has been consistently good recently. Still only goes 5 or 6 innings though. Then who's after that? Wolf, Milton, Schmidt? None of those guys would even make the Sox, Yanks, or Rays rotation and Wolf is the #3 for the Dodgers. They are getting it done, but it shows how weak the NL is too me. Phils were getting murdered in interleague play and they are still winning their division because the NL East sucks. | |

The Phillies are not a top 5 team with that rotation.

Yanks have the best record in baseball since A Rod has come back. I would say right now the Sox are the best team in baseball, but to put the Yanks 4th is ridiculous IMO. They are 2nd right now, and Rays are probably #3. Dodgers most likely wouldn't make the playoffs in the AL East.

Yanks have 25th ranked ERA in MLB and thus can't be considered as a Top 5 team Sox/Rays/Bums/Tigers are the current top 4

Dodgers have probably the best defense in the majors or top 3. Makes some of those borderline starters just passable enough. Offense is at least good enough to get by but will be better now with Manny. Could use another solid starter to go all the way. Kuroda if healthy is a good #3 but a #2 would be nice.

I heard Dodgers might go after Cliff Lee. If they land him they will be tough to beat in the playoffs.

no the al east does not have the three best teams. not even close. Boston and the dodgers are the two best teams in baseball. after that its a decent drop off and a whole bunch of teams on equal footing. The yankees are improved but im not convinced their pitching will hold up enuff to even make the playoffs.

Cliff Lee would be very nice. A Dodger/Yankee World Series would be even better.

| Dodgers/Red Sox world series.. Dodgers are surprising me, the bullpen has been amazing and the offense has no weaknesses other than Martin. Great defense, I guess you have to give Joe Torre a lot of credit.
