That A's only have 2 players on their roster, with 80 or more Abs, that are in the top 58 in FB% per batted ball. Buck and barton are in the next 9 though. Then there aren't a great deal of Oak bats in the following 40.

I cracked your code, The Heim, I just want on to talk a bit about the As as a response to your post.

I think a ground ball pitcher will get ground balls against fly ball teams or ground ball teams. I prefer a ground ball pitcher in Cinci more-so than i do in oak or SF. I look at the parks more than i do the opposing lineup for general stuff. When i get into more specific stats i simply glance over head to head matchups b/w batter and pitcher. as for your specific example, The As have annihilated garland.

It all comes down to if that pitcher has his A game (control) on that day, if a pitcher in the top of MLB in ground ball percentage has his A game NO team can beat him, not a fly ball hitting team or an All Star team for that matter.

The A's have a dog shit line up, very low averages, leading the league in fly balls is not a good thing.
