Nissan As Fast As Lamborghini?

That's the claim of the new Nissan Gt-R as it goes from 0-60 in 3.5 seconds. The only difference is you save about $280,000 as the GT-R will sell for $70,000 compared to $350,000 for the Lamborghini!

It's in Japan right now going under another name, but it will be introduced here as the GT-R. Basically it's an Infinity G-37 but hopped up slightly to 450 hp.with twin turbo chargers.

By the way, it's a 6 cylinder engine, which is half the cylinders of the 12 cylinder Lamborghini!

i have a 93 conv...love the car, to bad i had a brilliant idea to buy a crashed twin turbo and do a motor swap as they dont come with the twin turbo option... had the motor swap done, all the eletrical swap done, the climate control swapped and the 4 wheel steering done.. motor blew less then 2 years later...

i still like the RX-7 better, the 3rd generation from 93-95.. They are not named the pocket rocket for nothing..i had a 93 that i crashed then went and got a 95 that i used to trade in to get the Z...

Not really, was a long project for my friend who did it for me...The fact i jumped the boost up a few lbs and the motor already had 75K on it when i did it, didnt help out with the longevity...

I feel like that car has taken a step back, but yeah that was another nice ride from way back in the day. I never drove one though, always wanted to.

i dont really like the concept of the RX-8 being a 4 door, 4 seater, when it was invented for speed back in the day...

The 93-95 Rx-7 came off the assembly line handling at .97 g's...Nothing better then that

I don't like the Rx8 either and that funky back door opening the opposite way...you don't see many of them anymore. I had a Mits 3000GT the first yr they came out, that was a nice ride, but way overpriced back in 1991....nobody knew what it was though, that was pretty cool.

identical to the dodge stealth... Back when i was in high school i thought they were the fastest cars pulling the 1/4 miles in just around 14.5 seconds and around 92 mph

Yeah but the 3000 GT was a little better looking and it also came in the VR-4 version, which I didn't have...the Mits model , there seemed to be less of them around than the Stealth, I didn't care for the Dodge version...that first yr was pretty cool because nobody had one and the car appeared to be possibly more than it was and it was a good conversation piece....way overpriced for 1991 though....that was a fun car, killer stereo in that car.
