|  REPORT: Steelers draft pick Mendenhall robbed at gunpoint Police: First-round pick Mendenhall robbed at gunpoint - USATODAY.com Police and family members say Pittsburgh Steelers first-round draft pick Rashard Mendenhall was robbed at gunpoint along the Chicago lakefront early Monday. Mendenhall's mother says the former University of Illinois running back was not hurt in the robbery. Sybil Mendenhall tells the Chicago Tribune that two people took her son's wallet and cellular telephone. Police spokesman John Mirabelli says a man and a woman were robbed around 2 a.m. Monday by two offenders. No one is in custody. The Steelers drafted Mendenhall with the 23rd pick in last Saturday's NFL Draft. |
