Shrink, Are you aware of the stiff job that is presently going on at SBG. They are stiffing multiple players out of tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars. As long as you are throwing out the trash this week, how about tossing out SBG and Oddsmaker? (The Oddsmaker issue is covered in another thread for those of you new here.) I believe what SBG is doing (and has always done in the past) meets the standard of removal here, "Blatant Theft." Looking forward to seeing them off of EOG. Thanks, JC http://forum.sbrforum.com/players-ta...oyal-past.html Hello, A brief history. I opened an account at Bet Royal based on the recommendation of someone I trust. I knew they had payout problems at the time but I was dealing directly with the VP of marketing, so I thought it would be okay for small wagers. About a week after I opened the account, SBG bought Bet Royal's sportsbook and my account was transferred there. All of this was the first week of July. I was not happy with SBG buying out Bet Royal due to SBG's D- rating, but someone else I trust said "they pay out same day". So, I thought they had cleaned up their act. I have received 5 payouts since July and all were paid out promptly. In the meantime my account has grown to 15 times its original size through winnings. I have not made any more deposits. Saturday night after I had a big winning day (> $5000) my account was deactivated. Now, SBG has my home phone number, my cellphone number, and my email address. They did not tell me ahead of time they were doing this, they just did it. At first I thought it was just a web site glitch. I called Sunday morning and I was told that my account was frozen for 45 days for fraud, because they think I belong to a syndicate. LOL This is preposterous. Don't you have to have friends to be in a syndicate? My account isn't that big, less than $30,000. The real issue, of course is that they don't want to pay out my winnings. The reason I am writing this post is to apologize to anyone who listened to me and continued to do business with Bet Royal and/or SBG based on my saying "but they pay same day now and they have cleaned up their act". They have cleaned up their act if you bet small, but they still rip off big winners. If you have money on account with them continue to bet small bets only and start withdrawing your money gradually. If you don't have an account with them STAY AWAY. I think that SBR should change their rating to F and move them to the "don't even think about it" list. Not that this will help me, but maybe the next dang fool. I really do feel like a jackass.

Not to be taken that SBG is trash anymore than EOG is a dump or that SBG is justifiably where it belongs, just a truism to note. Do you really think it's starting to stink around here? Thanks for the heads-up . | |

Here is the latest SBR report on the matter: BetRoyal (SBR rating D) locks 30 players out of their accounts citing "syndicate play." Royal Sports had advertised with a handicapper that was having a successful year before the book was purchased by SBG Global (SBR rating D-). The capper repeatedly warned what was now SBG's operation that he and his users were on a winning streak but the book said that it was not concerned because "all handicappers eventually lose." He and the players following his picks won in excess of six figures. The sportsbook now claims it is investigating the group for fraud and has frozen all winnings. SBR to interview the handicapper and contact SBG before updating in further detail.

JC, if you are interested in publicizing stiffbooks, please note that "Lenny" and Cascade are stiffing to the tune of over $2 million and have just announced (thru SBR) that they will not be paying...are you friends with "Lenny"? Sounds like you are just out to bash advertisers....EOG is a business and making $$ from the advertisements, big deal. Seems like you have some chip on your shoulder, seems obvious to me that you are not looking out for players as you would surely have started a thread about the deadbeat scammer "Lenny" and Cascade, stiffing for over $2 million and STILL taking deposits.

Great to see EOG letting the player's voice be heard here. Hopefully we can continue to work together and show that stealing from these players will be a losing venture.

I have never met or spoken to Lenny in my life. You obviously don't know me. I am just as perturbed about the Cascade stiff job as any of these others. But Cascade is not advertising here. These dumps are. "This is a business" does not justify promoting known crooks. By your reasoning EOG should put Cascade back up top because this is a business and it needs to make money.

"This is a business" does not justify promoting known crooks. I sort of agree with your position that a link can be regarded as an implicit promotion....not a loud promotion (in my opinion) but still a promotion of some kind that says 'this book is okay.' I can remember days past when I was resentful (jealous) that shrink made money from some sportsbooks (that i did not like for whatever reason) and today i just try and accept that he does what he does and it's okay...like I cannot change someone else, i can only work on my level of acceptance. i am so not perfect and right now i can accept that nobody else is perfect. we are not perfect, we are just okay. no gambling forum is going to be anywhere close to perfect and imo the EOG is doing a FINE job. as to sportsbooks, stick with betjamaica and the greek i hear WSEX is great too ;0) have a day.

I just had a very long talk with Eduardo Agami from SBG Global... I have heard their side to the story.... There is a lot more to this that I wasn't aware of... I would appreciate it if Sebastian gave me a holler... I will do my best to settle this amicably... Thanks, THE SHRINK shrink@eog.com

This is all great, but what does it have to do with me? I have nothing to do with Sebastian's group other than playing his picks which SBG knew I was doing. I want a resolution to my account without being included in anyone else's issues. | |

Have you heard about the offer by another sports book to credit you your entire balance with a rollover requirement before you can withdraw and are you considering doing this? Thanks, Ken

janus, The book offering the gamblers relief is also looking for new business. It's a 20 time rollover... Once I have all the facts and the case is completely settled, I'll be glad to share my findings as always... Ken
