Thumbs down SPORTSBETTING.COM DROPPED AS A SPONSOR- WE ENCOURAGE ALL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!!

We try to give each of our advertisers the benefit of the doubt whenever possible. There is no way to defend the blatant THEFT that occurred to some of our posters and fellow gamblers with accounts at Sportsbook.com and their associated properties.

Up until today, Sportsbetting.com, part of the Sportsbook.com family, was one of our advertisers.

Eye On Gambling is dropping them due to the fact that they admitted to stealing money from 31 accounts; the total amount is at the minimum in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

EOG will not and cannot condone this behavior.

Sportsbook.com can't retroactively cancel winning parlays because they finally recognized there is a higher than normal correlation between certain events. They have been accepting these parlays for years. It was their poor internal controls that allowed them. They need to lick their wounds, adjust their software, and move on.

Until Sportsbook.com makes this situation right with the players being STIFFED, EOG refuses doing business with them or any books associated with them.

Furthermore, although just a mere drop in the bucket, EOG intends to PAY OUT the players who were robbed from the pro rated amount of money we have left from their advertising contract with us. Eye On Gambling urges all of its competitors to do the same.

Sportsbook.com should not be given a pass here. They need to know there are consequences for their actions. The gambling community needs to take a unified stance here.

If Sportsbook.com reconsiders its position, EOG reserves the right to do likewise.

Good job, EOG. . . .To all the other books watching: by dealing straight with your players, you can pick up more business. Further, by advertising with EOG and treating your players ethically, more people will be likely to give you a shot as their sports book. It looks like EOG, though not a watchdog, will not tolerate blatant theft from its advertisers.

Incredibly well done SHRINK and EOG. Books shouldn't be able to do whatever they want and get away with it. And paying out the players with the sponsorship money is just a great deed.

Props to EOG for doing the right thing, and not being scumbags like other sites who use the "we're a business and we need Sportsbook's advertising dollars to keep us running" bullshit line.

ken- we might not see eye to eye on a few issues, in the past i have called you out on a few articles which i believe to be less than "genuine" and is designed to be deliberately "sensational"

however, it's nice to see a large forum side correctly w/ integrity instead of greed at the times when it matters the most. you have my respect, which many will tell you, is not an easy thing to earn..

    vnh sir

You made a wise choice to drop them.

It cost you a few pennies today, but will make you many many dollars down the road.

The only way to become #1 is to do as many small things as you can to earn that postion.

You just did one of those small things.

    Congrats.....

Could EOG please indicate what specific actions are currently being taken to "encourage all others to do the same?"

e.g. what "others" have been contacted and what was offered as encouragement in following EOG's actions?

I am sure those personally affected would like to monitor what actions will be taken by the "others" under such encouragement.

Nice call Shrink, players lose, EOG loses a sponsor & will reimburse a portion of the funds....short term loss = long term gain!!

Off the top of my head,

We appreciate the overwhelming support of this decision by our posters...

1- Some of our members are actively posting at other places, but now that you mention it, why not help spread this message on as many forums as possible?

2- We are talking to some ELITE sports books who may refuse to renew at prominent venues who continue to endorse SPORTSBOOK.COM and its sister books...

3- We are willing to negotiate a deal with SPORTSBOOK.COM on behalf of any/all the players who have yet to be paid...

4- For those who may wish to engage OFF of this forum, The General and I can be reached at the emails listed below...
