| Hopefully in full? It sure doesnt sound like he did anything wrong and noone is disputing the amount. Why wouldnt he be paid in full? Jackpot is owed money, there shouldnt be any negotiations here at all. Not only that, but jackpot sounds like an average guy who won a jackpot. He shouldnt have to wait this long to be paid. While you made a nice post regarding the new ownership, etc etc and they had a nice party for posters that play there, it sure sounds like there is some funny business going on with Oddsmaker. After seeing this, I would never trust them with my money. |

| What's to talk about? Is Jackpot not owed the money? Is Oddsmaker broke? Why would they not pay him in full? Just because they can get away with it? If there is a dispute about this, it is between Jazzette and Oddsmaker. There's nothing to talk about with Jackpot. Oddsmaker had his balance in their system. Pay the man in full or get the hell off of this site. It's pretty simple. |

| Jackpot, Don't take a penny less. These crooks will pay you. Not because they are honorable, but because they will lose a lot more than $85,000 in business if they don't. You took a gamble and you won. It's your money. Oddsmaker, pay the man his money or there's a lot more we can share about the people behind your operation. |

| I think it's what Cascade is doing is wrong. They too should pay their debts. They are not advertising at the top of this site. |

| I cannot go into detail but it was worked out and I am more than pleased with the outcome. It should have never got this far but it did and in the end everything worked out. I just want to thank everyone involved including oddsmaker/betonusa. |

It seems like Oddsmaker is still a stiff. Pay the man in full Oddsmaker! What's the problem Oddsmaker? Are you too busy running deceptive and phony $5 million contests? Who won the $1 million for the first four weeks? ![]()

| so neither the poster nor oddsmaker nor EOG are willing to tell the truth regarding whether the account balance was paid....okay Great place to get info about sportsbooks....NOT Oddsmaker, pay the man his money or there's a lot more we can share about the people behind your operation. It seems like Oddsmaker is still a stiff. Oddsmaker stiffed like you said...so spill the beans...what else do we need to know about Oddsmaker in addition to the fact that it is a stiffbook? Doesn't sound like EOG is going to fill in the posters... ![]() |

| I don't understand how it is yours JC's, or anyone's business what the agreement was in Private between the poster and the book. The poster Came to EOG and we acted on his behalf and the poster was happy. That is all that should matter.... I don't know when this holier than though attitude that the posters are ENTITLED to know about Private agreements between 2 parties. It is asinine and absurd. |

| I've kept quiet about the stiffjob I have personally experienced with BetonUSA/Oddsmaker a while ago in hopes of an amicable resolution. But now they're giving the General the run-around saying they never heard of me (not in database). Well, I have account#'s and e-mail replies from them that say otherwise. Like I said, I waited a long time in hopes of a peaceful resolution, but it appears they will only payout to those who go public, so here I am. This is the only time I have ever had trouble getting paid from a book. |

However most businesses would want good publicity coming from this matter that took forever to get resolved and you think they would want all future customers to know that they pay players in full when they win. Someone should tell oddsmaker/Betus their not in the mystery novel business and letting future customers guess if they will be paid in full if they were to win big is a bad business plan.

| I am not taking the books side. I Hope the player was paid in full. I don't know what the agreement was. Just because it was not posted for Everyone to see does not mean he is not getting paid in full. PLEASE SHOW ME WHERE THAT WAS EVER STATED OR AGREED TO!!!! Bottom line is the agreement was between the book and poster and that is the only people that need to know about it. If the Poster was not happy then we would know it. If they back out of the agreement then we will know it. Until you have proof of him not getting paid in full, saying otherwise if foolish and not fair to anyone involved. |

| It is our business and it is important that the customer is paid in full, not just that he is "happy." Why? Because when the Shrink changed the business model here he declared that we the posters are the watchdogs and that we the posters should warn people about books who are the stiffs, whether they are advertising here or not. Posters need to know what books steal from players when given an opportunity. There are several reasons for me to believe the customer was not paid in full. I have been around this BS as long as anyone here and from what I am reading he was not paid in full, whether in one lump sum or with a payment plan. The player has capitulated and has accepted less, it's crystal clear. This is not a court of law, we don't need an eyewitness or proof beyond a reasonable doubt. About the player being "Happy," The book had him over a barrel. He took what he could get. Oddsmaker is wrong here. The player won the money and is owed. Oddsmaker is stiffing him for one reason, because they can. They think they can pay him 50 to 60 cents on the dollar and clean up their well deserved D- image. They can't. We are watching. Next time a player is owed a large sum of money, and feels lucky to get most of it out of some dump, do we give that book a pass and say well the player was happy? No. Books need to pay in full, not just to player satisfaction. That's all that happened here. It was a large jackpot. The player is taking what he can get. Obviously he fears if he holds out for the full amount he will get nothing. Is Oddsmaker the type of place EOG wants to have up top? Oddsmaker/BetOnUSA, I'm happy to present you with the BetOnSports Award for Partial Payment When You Have the Player Over a Barrel. Congratulations! Oddsmaker, pay the man in full you stiffs! |

| I am not going to state an opinion on whether or not the player was paid in full but it seems clear that there is an agreement between the book, the player and maybe even EOG to put an end to the bad publicity this has generated. If the player was indeed paid in full, it would seem that everyone involved would like to see that stated so there are no questions regarding the book's actions. The player made this a public issue by posting his story so it is not unreasonable that other posters would want to know the outcome. Plain and simple, for those not involved, it is a credibility issue and EOG members have a right to know what they can expect from an advertiser if they choose to play with this book and are fortunate enough to hit a big score. Without the benefit of the full story, potential customers on this site will feel uneasy about this shop. While EOG is to be commended for helping to resolve the player's issue, why was their intervention even necessary? Last edited by The Judge; 10-13-07 at 12:44 PM. |

| jc,
10.11.2007 (11:10 PM CST) Sportsbook.com (SBR rating D+) confiscates winnings made from correlated parlay bets dating back over one month. SBR is currently investigating complaints submitted by four players who were informed via email that thousands would be deducted from their balances because winnings derived from parlays where the legs of the parlay are "linked." Wagering on Over the total score and the Underdog spread would be an example of a correlated 2-team parlay. Some sportsbooks use their software to prohibit these types of wagers. SBR is also investigating a separate claim made by a player who states that over $80,000 was confiscated because he utlized different sportsbook websites within the Sportsbook.com family (Jazette ltd Group) of sportsbooks. This has been allowed and often encouraged by the different brands in the past. SBR will list updates for all Sportsbook.com complaints ranging from instances of incorrectly graded wagers to missing balances from sportsbook brands that defected from the Sportsbook.com operation to other white label services.
